  1. I answer too comprehensively when asked about guitars or pickups.
  2. Most of what you say/advise contains sensible suggestions and truth, though this statement above is not true at all
  3. Just for anyone else that is interested in the info/suggestions that I gave you the other day:
  4. It depends what you are looking to price match, whether we have it in stock, whether the alternative places have it in stock and what the price we are expected to match actually is. It is not the case that R&B do not price match full stop. I would need to check that as I'm not sure. I know the American models are/were. I just checked the R&B site and it seems to say so for the other stuff too. That has been implemented since I was last in the shop so I can't be certain!
  5. Bunch of PS2 games (and a few PS3 games) for sale! £2 each for the PS2 games and £5 each for the PS3 games. PS2: Fifa 2004 Fifa 2006 GTA Vice City GTA San Andreas Gran Turismo 3: A Spec Gran Turismo 4 Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance Need For Speed: Most Wanted Pro Evo 5 Pro Evo 6 Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith Tony Hawks Pro Skater 4 WWE Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth WWE Smackdown: Here Comes The Pain PS3: Fifa 2008 Juiced 2 Pro Evo 2008 Reply in this thread or PM me if interested in any!
  6. R&B are cheaper than GuitarGuitar for Fender stock.
  7. I make my best efforts to refrain from commenting afterwards following being dumbfounded by something that happens during a conversation with any customers. I only ever get worked up at blatant rudeness or attempts to be belittling or similar. Regards the prior aspects, I like to leave people alone to try stuff and certainly don't look down at anyone. I'm especially conscious of these things as I have read a couple of times on here of people expressing the same/similar feelings. I certainly hope it comes across any time I ever engage with anyone, as it is obviously rather important! I'm not there full time or anything, however I like to conduct myself appropriately when I am
  8. R&B have had the cheapest prices on American Fender guitars and Fender amps for about 5 months.
  9. For sale I have my Pearl Session Custom SRX shell pack in Marine Blue Fade. It is a 6 ply maple kit in standard rock configuration (12", 13", 16" 22"). The kit does not come with a snare. There is a little bit of damage to the underside of the bass drum and to the external bass drum hoop. Uses I.S.S. mounts for the 2 rack toms and Air Ride feet on the floor tom legs. I have pictures of the marks which I shall upload later once I get them onto my computer. For now here is a picture of the finish: Looking for £400 for the shells. As for the hardware I have the following at the following prices: 2x Pearl BC-800W Boom Cymbal Stand - £30 (each). Pearl BC-900 Boom Cymbal Stand - £30. Pearl C-800W Straight Cymbal Stand - £30. Pearl H-1000K Hi-Hat Stand - £60. Pearl D1000SP Roadster Drum Throne - £40. Pearl CH-70 Clamp & Mini Boom - £10. Pearl Clamp, Sonor Clamp, Tama Clamp, Unmarked Clamp - £5 each. I have some pictures of the stands, but there isn't really much to see with those! Cheers, James
  10. When changing strap buttons, I always fill the existing hole with a matchstick and snap the excess off and then screw into that. Never had any issue that way. I always use the Schaller locks too - very good. The Dunlop ones are too, to be fair.
  11. I checked on Saturday and was correct - £22 for the Boss/Roland version. However we also had the Stagg equivalent for £7.99, which Gladstone picked up. It won't definitely work, there are a few variables between pedals. The adaptor tip size is one, but generally is the same size as the Boss pedal inputs, though some pedals (Electro Harmonix for example) have different styles. The polarity of the supply required needs to be correct. Most are negative to centre, but not always. Current draw is an important one. A Digitech Whammy (just for example, considering it is a Digitech pedal) uses a 9V, 1.3A supply, using a Boss power supply which is normally rated to nearer 500mA (0.5A) won't give enough to make the pedal work properly. Similar to the above, voltage requirement is important. Line 6 pedals require a 9.6V supply. I - as a test - tried to power a Line 6 pedal off of a multi supply which works fine with Boss pedals and it ran extremely noisy as it wasn't getting enough from the supply. Changing to the correct 9.6V supply rectified this. Depending on the pedal, everything may be fine. Not always though (Forgot to say, tip adaptors being added to the units can/will increase levels of noise. The pedal may then work, though excess noise isn't going to be the most desirable thing when playing).
  12. I was going to say that our site is a LOT better than it has been previously! Lots of work has went into that on our (staff) part! We have the daisy chains too, also do the Stagg equivalents. I can't for the life of me remember the prices though! I want to say £22 but don't quote me on that! The RC2 has been discontinued to make way for the RC3. Definite improvement! The USB connection is the best part! Exporting and importing of phrases/loops is a feature that the RC2 was crying out for - this ticks that box! *NOTE* - the fact that you are seeing the pedal on the site indicates that not only is that our price, but that it is also currently in stock (when stuff is sold we just hide it on the site).
  13. Good thing that it is administration, there would have been too many shit puns if it was liquidation.
  14. Just in case of uproar, I believe they have done a couple (small number, however many it has been) of acoustic sets in the middle bit.
  15. Re 3 and 4, I believe so. Wasn't Friday the last Skyscraper gig? Is this for music venues or just places to go? As, as far as I'm aware, Korova don't put on gigs. BISON.
  16. I'm not aiming that all directly at yourself Ronz Just an overview in the sense that people are getting jumped up and upset about the nature of the offer Why don't we all just get this man's guitar sold
  17. He is as entitled to post his offer as you are to speak about it. I guess a difference in this instance is that his offer is relevant to the intentions of the thread. It is a for sale thread and Kybosh made an offer. Givemeasmile politely declined and things can go from there (be it Kybosh making an increased offer or bowing out) with no hassle surely. Opinions as to whether the offer made was low or not are a personal consideration. I don't think there was anything wrong with making said offer to be fair. No cheek no chance and all that! If the offers are to be made via PM then surely the thread should be locked once the initial post is made and is updatable by the thread starter as to whether the guitar is sold or still available. Otherwise there will always be offers and the - unnecessary - bickering that follows.
  18. Could take it to R&B - Ivor (drum specialist) is rather good with drum tuning. What snare is it you have and what heads do you use? Is the resonant side ok and the snare wires on properly?
  19. Gibson have been in dire straights for ages.
  20. Biz being a sectionable gimboid at a gig a few years ago.
  21. You'll struggle to find a good Squire at that price too.
