  1. Unfortunately' date=' their other guitar player finds getting a degree (and finishing advanced highers) more important than playing tours at the present time. You can be in a good band and have fun. Just because you're enjoying it doesn't equate to being shit. I see it as a hobby, not a chore. There is no requirements written in stone that says "You are in a band, you are not crap, therefore - you MUST tour, you MUST record every breath of the day". If things are to expand and E106 go up the ladder, so be it. No point trying to force tours when it's not in the best interests of all members surely though?
  2. They gained enough recognition to acquire one of the best guitarists to grace metal... Wait and see - that's all I'll say. Wait and see.
  3. Best 1. Seeing Slayer from the front row and not coming back from it in a body bag... 2. Getting to the front row for Metallica, Megadeth, Slipknot, Machine Head, In Flames, Chimaira, Lamb Of God, Anthrax, Killswitch Engage, Mudvayne, Black Sabbath, Trivium and Napalm Death (combination of Download '04 and '05) and not being killed. 3. Buying a tent's worth of beer and getting hammered and proceeding to mosh with a complete stranger to ''Pantera - Walk'' on his CD player, then to mosh infront of a merry-go-round which was blasting 'Master Of Puppets'. Worst 1. Getting trampled at Napalm Death by about 20 folk immediately after being smacked in the face approximately 3 seconds into their set. 2. Running out of beer and having no more money to purchase more 3. Missing Meshuggah, American Head Charge and Raging Speedhorn
  4. This isn't anything silly like 'only at the Morrisons on King Street' or anything is it? Can't be assed going there! :|
  5. So you get 12 Brahma for a fiver? That's nuts, cos I quite like it anyways. I've been going for the 12 for £9 at asda lately. May need to take a trip tomorrow like!
  6. Hello. I'm selling my Ibanez Giger RG. I'm just not feeling it. Specs are as follows:- * Mahogany body * 5pcs. Maple/Walnut neck-thru * Rosewood fingerboard * Shark Tooth inlays * Edge Pro II bridge (adjustable arm height and torque adjustment) * IBZ INF1(H) neck pickup * IBZ INF2(H) bridge pickup * Powder Cosmo hardware colour * NY City XIX graphic print I have since swapped out the INF2 for a Seymour Duncan Invader. Increased output and a much harsher distorted tone - ideal for rock and metal Mint condition - I played it once with the INF2, changed it to the Invader and have played it twice. It has sat in it's case otherwise. Retail was 749, Invader was 77.95. Selling for 675 (due to the condition and limited numbers (only 20 in the UK)). Pictures when photobucket stops being so gay! Cheers guys, James
  7. Woo hoo, my exams are done by then, so no more school I'm good for this, just need to see if everyone else is able to manage or whatnot Jamesy106
  8. Metallica - ...And Justice For All And what a purchase it was!
  9. They have thrash roots and have a few thrashy riffs, but I wouldn't classify them as a straight up thrash band...
  10. I disagree. I can't think of the right "terminology" or genre that Machine Head fall under, but I wouldn't say thrash. Slayer are thrash. Anthrax are thrash. Megadeth are thrash. Not Machine Head...
  11. For the next Element gig, I'm gonna dye my hair jet black and use a whole tub of gel to flatten it over one eye... while choking myself with my guitar up to my chin.
  12. Well' date=' it won't be better than my ESP KH-2 Neck Thru. It's as simple as that. Basically - I want something similar (tonally and in terms of playability) to the KH, and also for it to have an ebony board. This does so, and just happens to have an ace finish (IMO ofcourse). It retails at 1499. It's not that it's better or worse than my [i']other guitars (other than the KH aswell that is), it's different.
  13. Haha. Not quite I just really enjoy the new CD and like jamming along to albums.
  14. I write all of the material for one of my bands thanks. I'm in two bands at the moment already thanks. It is good thanks.
  15. Ooooh, I don't have that issue... care to post your letter?
  16. I know. I could play it (capability wise) if I knew the notes. It doesn't sound hard to play the stuff. It would help to know what tuning they used for a start. That and that I'm too lazy to do it myself
  17. I can't find any and it doesn't help that I don't know what tuning they play in, so I can't try work on it by ear (which I suck at anyway!).
  18. OK OK hehe. BME, TMTC and TTAOE aren't though

  20. +1 Smells Like Teen Spirit?!!?! W T F o_O
  21. So you're a sex god then? I'll give you 'Slipknot' and 'Iowa' as nu-metal then. 'Vol. 3' certainly isn't' date=' neither was 'Mate Feed Kill Repeat'. I'll also let you away with 'Machine Head - Supercharger'. Not the rest of their stuff though. 'Burn My Eyes', 'The More Things Change', 'The Burning Red' and 'Through The Ashes Of Empires' are [b']NOT nu-metal. Fact!
