  1. 100 and 100 is cool! I'm actually working today
  2. Very nice. I still need to drop past some time! I'll be in Glasgow for 4 days from next Thursday ... any good time to come past for a look? Oh yeah, that's a great video.
  3. What?... What? What?.....Wa... WHAT? Can't you be more constructive with your feedback?

  4. Update: The MS2000 has gone. I still have a JP8000 for sale and I am knocking the price to £200. I was messing around with it for the first time in ages last night and it is still a cracking versatile synth. New for Sale: 2x Technics SL1210mk2, refurbished - £450 Two Technics SL1210mk2 in fantastic condition. All features are fully working including the target lamps and tonearm clips. Included are the original Technics headshells and 45RPM adapters. Both turntables have had a full professional service/clean/test, including cleaning out and calibrating the pitch fader. The phono cables have been replaced with higher-quality cables, including genuine gold-plated Neutrik connectors. The paint is chipped in a couple of places but nothing major. New For Sale: Vintage Analogue Synth - Korg PE 1000 - £150 http://m.matrixsynth.com/2006/04/korg-pe1000.html Recently tuned but has some cosmetic damage on the keys. It's a big one so probably more for a collector or someone with plenty of space. I'll stick up some photos later. Happy for folk to come round and see how it works, play with it. That also applies to the JP8000.
  5. It is an incentive to stay with the company. Probably means your company is doing well and I'd say they're offering you it because they rate you as an employee. I think you need to see some details of it to understand the full impact.
  6. It's been a while since I vented on this thread. Pet hate is waiting 4 weeks for the delivery of a pair of headphones, getting fobbed off with crap excuses every time I asked for an update. I reached breaking point on Friday and cancelled the order. Pretty disappointed as it was an expensive purchase and was really looking forward to them. Fully expect to wait another month for my refund. There must be laws about advertising stuff on a shop website if you don't have it in stock or have no way of getting into your stock within a certain time frame.
  7. I midi all of my softsynths, maschine and quite often use the TI part of the Virus. Everything else either has no Midi (or convenient way of setting up midi) or I prefer just to play au naturale. I really like the integrated TI, but like working with any syths I find it saves time to decide on a sound first before laying anything down. You could waste hours trying out/creating different sounds after you've got you're line. I actually acquired the Yamaha from a generous soul from these boards. To be honest I've only used for one song and didn't even use the mods. I think there is a link to my soundcloud on my signature... the last track on my page is made entirely with the Yamaha, even recorded vocals using the 8 bit sampler and crappy plastic mic attached. One of my favourite tracks that I've done, muchos lofi. It's the same as the one on this website http://www.circuitbenders.co.uk/VSS.html
  8. Very nice! What kind of virus do you have? My synth line up is currently a TI Polar, Nord Electro, Juno 6, Moog Concertmate MG-1, Korg PE1000, MS2000, JP8000, circuit bent yamaha vss200, NI Maschine... I use a Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 DSP and a Macbook Pro 7i blah blah. Oh yeah and a Fender Rhodes. My go to keys are the Virus and Rhodes, all the others are really just nice to have. Just bought my first proper recording mic ... an SE2200a mk2. It's giving some good results. No outboard stuff yet but got some plans. Quite fancy getting a couple of new analogue synths... a dave smith tetra and arturia minibrute.
  9. How are you getting on with your Maschine. I'm really enjoying mine, had it for about a month now. Amazing creative tool.
  10. Just got a Big Namba Studio Backpack: http://nambagear.com/big-namba-studio-backpack/ I highly recommend this for the mobile electro producer/performer. Fits a 17 inch laptop, midi keyboard, pad controller, sound card and has decent cable storage.
  11. So they're not doing the Lemon Tree then... damn it! Love a bit of Ben Folds Five - favourite track is Alice Childress
  12. It's actually brand new, it's a hand crafted Italian maker called Rampone & Cazzani. Solid silver bell. It's going for about 8000 - eek
  13. I'm after a new sax... budget doesn't stretch to this but it is one beautiful instrument!
  14. You should have bearded backing dancers
  15. Just ordered a pair of HD650s, will report back with my opinion. In terms of headphones as a mixing and review tool I believe open backs are supposed to be best. Recon if you need them for multiple functions you'd maybe be as well getting closed.
  16. Actually been admiring your studio's gear lists, some really nice equipment! I've been doing a lot of reading up on microphones of late with the view to building up a choice cabinet of my own. Started off with the new SE 2200aii, there wasn't much in the way of reviews about this microphone as it just came out a month or so ago but it's predecessor was a very popular choice. It's such a vast and subjective topic, quite a daunting task to make the selection. I suppose there are some pretty safe bets in the upper echelons.
  17. Just purchased one of these: http://www.seelectronics.com/se2200a-ii-multi-pattern-mic and one of these:
  18. That looks awesome! I bought a Rhodes fairly recently and love it. Think I'd try for a Clavinet next.
  19. Just about to purchase a pair of these Sennheiser HD650s
  20. Well if you have the parts I can play and record them for you. Send me a PM with your idea and we can discuss it. I'm trying to sell these keyboards here! KEYBOARDS FOR SALE.... KEYBOARDS FOR SALE.... GET YOUR MID 90s KEYBOARDS HERE!
  21. For recording purposes I'm sure I could help you out.
