I too was coersed into watching the closing ceremony. I found little to enjoy. The wierd acting bits were cringe worthy. Timothy Spall poking out the top of Big Ben ... naff. I liked the opening ceremony.

It has been nearly a year since I posted in this thread... wow. For any and all that are interested, we are playing our first gig in Aberdeen for some time in the Lemon Tree on Saturday 11th August. It's part of the International Youth Festival line up so we've been linked up to play with an interesting group from France called Le Chemin Des Chavres. I can report back that Skopelos is the most relaxing place I've ever been. If you have a car it is easy to find a beach entirely to yourself. 36 degrees with a cool breeze off the sea. Amazing food.

I'm off to the Greek island of Skopelos tomorrow. I can't comment on how good it is as I haven't been yet. I am anticipating an amazing time though.

I have an old analogue keyboard looking for a new home. It's a korg too but probably about 10 times the size of a microkorg and has a lot less functionality - as you'd expect coming from 1976.

I'm actually going on holiday this weekend for two weeks and busy every night this week as I try to cram everything in before I leave. Happy to meet up when I return though. I think I can help you with the settings you need for recording patterns on the fly. It took me a while to work it out but it's a simple process once you know how. I use Cubase but presumably the same principles apply. I'll post a full explanation once I get myself in front of my computer at home, I can't remember the exact sequence without going through it. What kind of beats are you making? Would be really interested to hear. Do you have a soundcloud?
