  1. the guitarists in Meshuggah have parts in their songs wich i think are original if you listen to the album contradictions collapse, it came out in 1991 which means they were writing the songs in 1990 or before and the stuff as amazing. Some of the guitaring is so far ahead of its time.... they use the weirdest scales in their solos. they are an amazing band. I think they have a very original style as for my own, it is far from original but has been tainted by the likes of max cavalera and kerry king... they have not influenced me in my Femora writing but when i jam i play pure metal
  2. I've not heard all of 'colony' by In Flames but Clayman is definetley the way forward with the next In Flames buy!! It's fucking superb.... If you are going to get Soilwork get Figure No. 5 with the extra cd with 6 bonus tracks cause they are a little different but just as amazing. HMV definetley sell soilwork
  3. the best part i've seen is Avril Lavigne spitting Sk8er Boys at u quite humerous
  4. Arise and beneath the remains are the better albums but pre those is far more death metal
  5. Opeth's Damnation is a musical masterpiece Also if femora were actually stoner rock, they would be my favourite
  6. HIMSA are like Slayer, fucking ace
  7. the same names like Morbid Angel, Carcass and Deicide i would advise although you should check out some of the early albums of Sepultura - Morbid Visions or Schizophrenia fucking awsome
  8. The two 'Down' albums are good as well. Phil Anselmo is a great vocalist
  9. love to see Himsa, Cannae and Mastadon but seeing as i am going to see Killswitch, Chimaira, Shadows Fall and god forbid in june i'm not minding so much good luck in trying to get to ny
  10. Far too many amazing to mention. off subject but..... fav albums are Megadeth- Rust in Peace PAntera- Cowboy's............. Metallica- MAster of Puppets or kill em all Sepultura- Arise or beneath the remains Slayer- Seasons in the Abyss Avenged Sevenfold- Waking the Fallen Chimaira- Impossibility of Reason (love the harmonics and drumming) Anything by the Gypsy Kings (guitaring is godly) Snoop Dogg- Doggystyle (truley the geatest gangster rap album of all time and he was 18 and facing a death charge in court, obviously not convicted) Prodigy- Music for the jilted generation (remarkable album for its time)
  11. i have already said this gig is happening on 19th june but i just wanted to remind people who are interested cause it is going to be insane..... Killswitch Engage Chimaira Shadows Fall God Forbid............................. Look out for me in the centre of the Mosh pit rocking out the hardest
  12. eagerly awaiting the Atom bomb!!! hope all goes well in the studio
  13. cheers for the support ben still looking for someone to fit the part, hopefully not pavarotti though
  14. no, certainly not splitting up!! dan we were also looking for an accordian player if you want the part.... hehe
  15. i know crockers CHUMS are wondering why we asked him to go...... fact is how can anyone tell us that we have had no bad reviews about his vocals when all they know is what is written on this board. we have had many personal conversations with people who say different, not just vocals but have made many comments about the band as a whole. Shit that people are too scared to write on the board i.e. (the truth). As i have said once already crocker is a good singer, just not what we are looking for in the long run. We do not believe his voice is best suited for our music and at the end of the day thats all that matters, anybody who does not listen to the same sort of music will have a different opinion. Now can we get on with getting a new vocalsit, i'de appreciate it if nothing more was said. thank you
  16. that romanchoke's a fucking clown
  17. As a band Femora have recently decided that we need a different type of vocalist. Crocker was ace for us but we feel as though we need someone different. It's never easy asking someone to leave a band but i'm sure he will be part of another one soon. to anyone who hasn't heard us our influences range through BoySetsFire, 36 Crazyfists, In Flames, Killswitch Engage, Avenged Sevenfold etc..... looking for powerful melodic vocals (would be nice if u can scream also) If you think you would like to be the vocalist for Fem(~)ra contact anyone from the band me, sye, marty or the tank cheers
  18. yes i agree with using synths and keyboards soilwork use them very effectivley in their songs as does American Head.... as mentioned before. can be really good but some bands just sound shit if they don't mix it properly
  19. the best one used to be 'Captain Planet' when it was out all my other favs have been mentioned
  20. i just thought i would let people know that Stoma is the name given to the small bag that you shit into if your bowel gets operated on. how nice. not speaking from personal experience or anything that would be fucking horrible
