  1. There was a beast of a download before I could play it so I'm guessing a lot of the bugs have been fixed (PS3). I can't stop playing it just now, good mindless fun. Will see how long that lasts.
  2. I had some absolute stonking hangovers over the festivities. My brother was visiting from Oz and it was utter carnage. 4am, 5am, 7am, 8am.... these are not good times to be going to bed. Too old for that nonsense.... and has taken me days to recover. It's most certainly a young mans game. Not to mention the fact you eat loads of take-away shite and pile on the pounds. I need a pint.
  3. Got this at christmas.... good fun so far. It's getting pretty mental though....... looking forward to playing some more tonight. Zombie dreams = fun.
  4. First day back to work. Disgusting. Holiday blues have well and truly kicked in. Feel like I've split up with a long time partner. Totally gutted. Ugh.
  5. 3.5 hours more at work then it's holiday time. Happy days.
  6. Dying today. Bloody staff party. Amazed I lasted from 2pm until 3am. Shambles. Chips from La Lombarda are shite. I have a pair of boobs drawn on my hand and a stamp from the moorings. Might go have a beer....
  7. http://www.scotsman.com/lifestyle/features/25_things_to_do_in_aberdeen_before_you_die_1_2008025 Spotted this today.... loads of pubs on the list I notice. Pissheads.
  8. I'd have missed it quite easily. Even more so in that weather.
  9. Just change your proxy settings and you'll be able to watch it in Oz... plenty of articles on the web. http://apcmag.com/how-to-watch-hulu-bbc-iplayer-and-more-in-australia.htm http://www.anonymous-proxies.org/2009/02/using-iplayer-abroad-viewing-bbc-via.html Good win for the Dons last night, Arnason almost scored a belter too. Need to keep it up on Saturday though and beat Hibs, then we can start looking up the table! Thought the sending off was a little harsh too, but we seem to be down to 10 more games than not. Foster to get sent off on Sat!
  10. I thought Arcane Roots sounded a bit like early Biffy Clyro crossed with Billy Talent... especially on CD anyway....
  11. I remember a game against Dunfermline I think around the same time when he went on an amazing jinky run from his own penalty box and almost scored. Would have been the highlight of football ever had it gone in. Sad thing is, he would walk into our team these days.
  12. David Winnie, what a talent. Absolute legend. Was he not Icelandic player of the year once he left the Dons. Speaks volumes.
  13. Went to see Twin Atlantic / Dinosaur Pile Up / Arcane Roots on Sunday. I like Dinosaur Pile Up, and the Forum as a venue. That is all.
  14. Can't spell write either by the looks of things....
  15. At a gig in the Forum last night. A shitty pint of Carlsberg was £4... fucking £4!
  16. I saw E.C. at Twin Atlantic too. He looked dazed and confused. Also saw some other forum members, not stalks though as I was with them.
  17. He's apparently doing his coaching badges. If he can get fit he'll walk into the team. Pay as you play deal I'm hearing.
  18. I was meant to have a quiet weekend. The Dons drove me to drink however and ended up smashed on Saturday, the cunts.
  19. Russell Anderson apparently signing for the Dons today. Absolutely woeful again on Saturday. Looked shaky as soon as we lost the first goal. Lack of width and creativity again glaringly obvious. Brown needs to get some more players in or its tatties.
  20. Things in Aberdeen I can think of off the top of my head to expand on your initial examples.... I'm sure there are loads more. Peacock etc do courses... I did a screenprinting one recently. There is also CSS http://www.creativeculturescotland.co.uk/ who do loads of networking etc. Thainstone.... that's the only one I know.... Kilau regularly have exhibitions on. Also, is there not some place up on Justice Mill too? Do the Moorings not show films now and again? I also know at the Uni there are certainly film nights on in various venues that are open to the public too. There are loads of networking events a couple of the guys in my office attend http://deerdigital.com/mighty/ There is also another regular one on in Musa - themeet140 http://cow-bell.co.uk/2010/05/28/social-media-gets-social-and-we-like-it-welcome-to-themeet140/ Cafe Scientifique is another one on regularly... in Waterstones I think.
  21. Haven't been in for ages but I used to buy loads of CD's in there. Back in the day. And stuff. Sound and Vision.... that's the name of it. Yeah, so in summary, I have no idea.
  22. Received my Gish/Siamese dream today. Pretty impressed. Looking forward to the next ones!
  23. The granite needs a wash on 90% of Union Street. It's minging.
  24. This is the one I don't get, and this isn't aimed at you Murr. I know loads of people say this.... nothing to do. Absolute nonsense, you obviously aren't looking hard enough or have no real interests or hobbies. What are you going to do in any other city? Offshore workers are notoriously bad for this. Here's an idea lads, stay out the pub for one night and then you might be sober enough to think about something to do rather than head out on the lash again. I want to move somewhere else .... fuck all to dae here min. Aye! You go to Glasgow and sit in the pub the whole day there instead. Brilliant! Good and bad points about any city, I think Aberdeen holds up quite well in the grand scheme of things though. Too fucking cold today though (grumble, moan etc).
