I don't think Fyvie will be a massive loss. Jack has the potential to be a better player. I echo what a few have said on here, Fyvie was largely ineffective last season. His crossing is woeful yet he still took the majority of our corners, baffling. All the best to him, though I don't understand all the premiership interest, I think he'll struggle. I think the Dons have some good options going forward this season (as long as we can keep milsom/hayes/pawlett fit). Need to get some defenders in though.

Will buy a season ticket as soon as this debacle has been settled once and for all. Until then, holding off.

This weekend should be pretty good... I hope. Tonight: Off to visit the girlfriends folks in Ellon for some food/beer. Saturday: A trip to Deeside Beer Festival. Sunday: Football and recovery.

Tonight: Playing football then some (many) beers. Tomorrow: Re-carpeting the stairs in my block of flats (fuck my life) then off to an engagement party/BrewDog in the evening. Sunday: Playing football and watching the entire first series of 'Breakout Kings. I might have a beer with that.

We only had 15k for the Rangers match last season. The Celtic games were worse, 13K and 12.5K..... I don't think the loss of Rangers will make any difference to our coffers. Scottish football needs to embrace youth across the board anyway. We're going to do nothing on the European stage in the current financial climate (and no-one expects to). Moreover, this gives us a chance to restructure the leagues and voting system to make the whole process a lot fairer for everyone. In the short term we'll lose one of the bigger clubs, so be it (see Juventus and Fiorentina in recent times in Italy). On the flip side, attendances in the lower leagues will be up considerably if teams are playing 'Rangers' week in week out. At the end of the day they've cheated for years and caused many other clubs to get into debt (Aberdeen included) trying to keep up with them. If anyone is to blame for the sate of Scottish football I'd suggest it was placed at the feet of Rangers and Celtic. In summary, fuck them.

We don't get big crowds for Rangers games these days anyway.

Just back from a couple of weeks in Cyprus. Easy place to drive around (nothing is more than 2 hours away). Ayia Napa if you want a party town for a few nights along with loads of quiet places and some great touristy stuff to do too. Accommodation / food and beer are all pretty cheap. A winner.

Holiday blues... ugh. From 30 degrees every single day to cold, shite weather. This country is dire.

Off on holiday to Cyprus for two weeks tomorrow. Can't wait.
