  1. The riff under the verse in the last day?
  2. good good, glad we got that cleared up, now shouldn't you be having a school yard slagging match with Bob PoO somewhere else?
  3. theres a pathetic excuse for a dig if i ever saw one. it's just funny how far up your own arse you go when people dare to make misinformed judgements about 'your' music, however we're some cock rock trash that's 100 times as rubbish as a really bad classical composition.
  4. i think your getting your use of the word progressive a bit muddled, you equally backwood kiddie...
  5. Stripey, could you come down man? Just I can't hear a word you're saying from way up there on your high horse
  6. but... we didnt spend a penny on it
  7. you have a bit of a skewed perspective on reality dont you? i think the fact they are so inspired by the tunes that they want to pick up their own instruments and play is an incredible honour, i play guitar with the help of bands like metallica and maiden, and these dudes are wanting to be able to play our tunes, maybe it's a guitarist thing, and i guess your very rarely to get some dude come along and want to do what you do so much he'll ask to see your programming (yes i dont know the first thing about drumnbass) it seems a very individual type of music making. And when it comes down to it, if we're helping someone get to grips with the instrument atall, then all the better, spread some knowledge.
  8. Right, i think the official consensus on Atom tabs is, first off, we are absolutely honoured that you all want our tabs and you wanna learn how to play our music, i dont honestly think i've ever heard of another local band getting such a request. The thing is, as a local band im not so sure if we're really at a stage where we're ready to give away everything we have in the sense that guitar tabs would kinda lose the magic, if you follow my half awake ramblings. Although, saying that i appreciate the demand is there so maybe a comprimise is in order? i'm thinking either maybe like giving you lot the chords at least, that would let you work on the leads n stuff yourselves, or we might be able to manage some tabs from the previous ep's and POSSIBLY one off the new album, or my favourite so far is, you guys go away and try and tab stuff out for yourselves and i'll host them on the atom site to share with everyone else. Thoughts/ideas?
  9. Could you ask if it would be possible for me to use those pictures on Atomweb?! we were so busy doing gig things we didnt get around to asking someone to take pics? if thats possible it would be awesome, pm me and we can work something out! Also, if anyone else took pics, it'd be greatly appreciated if i could use some on the site, not wanting heaps, but it'd be cool to document it online. Cheers!!
  10. My mum and dad were at the Lemon Tree last night for the launch, muchos metal!!
  11. thing was, of the local bands there was the obligitory kids doing not-quite-nu-metal (somewhere between disturbed and lostprophets, very like hoax from newcastle) and older socal dudes 'we've been doing it since it was cool' type band. So the cliquey crowd reaction didnt really surprise me, in the slightest.
  12. Just to say, the CD's may be a tad delayed, just so you dont all get too let down at One-Up, Karloff's will be there as planned but ours has been held back, we've been assured it will be with us by the Lemon Tree gig, but i'm not sure if we can promise they will be here for one-up... sorry!
  13. and then you would get slayed!! so either that or you could come as a verstal virgin and get sacrificed! such choice!
  14. As far as i know it's always been like that at the Lemon Tree? and you've been to our gigs there before, so.... um... i dunno?! confuzzed, dont worry about it, im sure it'll be fine!
  15. i have a feeling it'll be vintage lemon tree fare, prolly 5.50/3 consessions (just to avoid any dissapointment on the night it'll prolly be 14+, under 18's must be accompanied by an adult, if it's the same as the last time we played)
  16. We need some warriors of the world there too alongside all the pirates! and knights from the relm to slay the dragon! ROCK!!
  17. if you get the chance, watch the Megadeth:Behind the music, its explains it all from daves point of view, he's fairly honest too if i remember rightly, it unfortunatly dispels the rumour that he was dropped because he kicked Het's dog, i think he was really wasted and kicked his truck that the dog was in or something, cant remember. Also it wasn't just alcohol, Mustaine was into heavy drugs too, which is why he's been in rehab so many times. And yeah, alot of songs on the first 2 albums Mustaine was involved in, im sure theres even one on Puppets. You'll also note that the mechanix by megadeth is The Four Horsmen with different lyrics. Also the solo kirk plays in Horsemen towards the end is basically the same solo Mustaine played it before he was booted....
  18. Dont talk down to me, and don't expect another 3 pages of petty bitching like you did with user and stripey, it doesnt get anywhere and im not intrested. Its attitudes like yours that means these boards will never achieve anything more than a self promotion page for 'who's gig is tomorrow' or 'look at my new release' there is the potential for alot more of this site, but if all you can say is 'give up caring' it shows your not here for anything other than some twisted ego-trip by trying to fuck people off. I think the last few months up here have been very good, perhaps nothing physically productive has been done but there has been alot of intresting open conversations, sharing ideas and the like, which is all the healthier for that thing you refer to as 'the scene'. I do care, unashamedly, it's attitudes like yours that will hinder anything good ever happening in Aberdeen, but needless to say if it was to, you'd tag along like a nervous sheep, your ego wouldnt let it be any other way. There are good people like Neil and the AUBL who over the years have done alot of hard work for bands in aberdeen and alot of other people within these boards who have alot of experience to share or or ideas to contribute, if they had your shitty attitude, half the bands (yours and mine included) wouldnt be here today, show a bit of fucking respect.
  19. you guys are fucking pathetic, not one of you is man enough just to leave it. All about the music my fucking arse, all about the winding up each other and constantly trying to get the last word in an argument which is so petty it makes me want to garotte the lot of you. The Wasteland is here for such pettyness, sorry you had to kill such an intresting thread.
  20. what in the bluest of blue hells does this have to do with your one man crusade against 'rubbish' music in record shops?
  21. i dont understand how we would get media attention from having our album playing over the pa at one-up tho, as i assume thats what your talking about? yes ok it does work sometimes, but only for attracting buyers, i refer to the one time i put the Black Atom CD on in burger king and some mother came up and asked who it was because her son really liked it, but it's a bit of a one off chance thing, the mother could quite as easily been coming to complain about the racket. If you want media attention up here you'd be better off doing it yourself, the local press dont really give a rats ass, which leads to the whole getting out of aberdeen thing, coz as much as playing and being a band here is a great laugh, if your trying to make progress bandwise, your better getting your music out of here and spread across the country. Having your music over the pa in One Up is really little more than a novelty, and is not going to get you press coverage.
