  1. You've got a keen eye for quality goods... ...the item you seek is an expensive Japanese import... and it's a fantastic film. For me to pass it on, I'd be looking at those two Shaw Brothers discs of yours + 15. And STILL you'd be getting a bargain. My original offer still stands at 6 for the two... let me know what you're thinking.
  2. Ok I'm interested in: Eight Diagram Pole Fighter 36 Chamber Shaolin IF... they are the following versions: http://images.cd-wow.com/images/2/1053071068_big.jpg http://images.cd-wow.com/images/2/1079603662_big.jpg Will give you 6 for the two. Alternatively... you can trade for stuff from my sale thread? http://www.aberdeen-music.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27790 Lemme know.
  3. Let's say 4 then my bargain hunting friend. Doubt you'd find it cheaper. Condition is great as I treat DVDs like my children - which I don't have but if I did, I'd treat them very good. Lemme know if that sounds good to you. Can meet up or post.
  4. Quick question. Are your DVDs authentic or bootlegs? (Your multiregion ones). Furthermore, is Go the Hollywood or Japanese movie? Ta...
  5. Hellboy Extended Edition DVD!!! (+ More) The following are for sale or trade: pending Hellboy Director's Cut - USA Region 1 Import. 3 Discs, extended version (15). The UK release is a flimsy theatrical cut. What I'm offering is the original vision from director Guillermo del Toro (ten minutes longer). Also have for trade/sale: Tintin (The Broken Ear, The Crab with the Golden Claws, Land of the Black Gold, The Castafiore Emerald) UK R2 - 5 Note: The Tintin discs and artwork are in mint condition. Only problem is that the 2 disc amary case is faulty - the 2nd disc holder has come loose and is only connected via one joint. Long story short, just put the artwork and discs into a new double amaray case and it'll be as good as new. The Big Swindle Korean R3 2 Disc S.E. - 15 Godfather Trilogy UK R2 Digipaks - 20 Pending Gone Sekai no Chushin de, Ai wo Sakebu JPN (2 Disc) The Quiet Family HK R0 Taegukgi aka Brotherhood JPN SE (2 Disc) Pi UK R2 Passion of the Christ UK R2 Brazil Criterion R1 Highlander Immortal Edition R1 Dead Like Me Season 1 R1 Sekai no Chushin de, Ai wo Sakebu HK R3 Wants 24 Season 2 (R1 or R4 please, basically I want it to be uncut) Go HK R3 (Japanese movie) Battle Royale Director's Cut UK R2 (Tartan DTS) Ichi the Killer Dutch R2 (uncut, extras, subtitles etc) Irreversible Canadian R1 Once Upon a Time in the West (R1 - must include English mono track) Advertised elsewhere. In addition, please make sure your player is multiregion before ordering.
  6. This is the best episode in the series - it doesn't get this good again. However Sahid's story is kinda interesting... as is the fat kid's. Forget his name, Hurley?
  7. Seen this (at the Edinburgh Film Festival). I'd give it 3/5. Enjoyable nonsense. It's not scary nor was it gory. It's rated a 15 btw, so quite tame. I much prefer Resident Evil and 28 Days Later. The director made an appearance. The fans were loving it, some dressed as zombies for the UK premiere.
  8. True, love it. Even the opening titles make me giggle every time. TPBM can more or less fluently speak another language (apart from English).
  9. I'd well drink Hite if it meant I could walk to work like that.
  10. Check this one out (ouch)
  11. There's a challenge for you ()Papaspyrou().
  12. I got a good deal for a book I needed for Uni. Shame I've graduated and now the book is useless. Guess I can sell it on Amazon Marketplace.
  13. very cool direct link (right click save as) - 8MB Damn, give me some of that Hite min.
  14. Yeah I've seen the series but it's common courtesy to refrain from displaying spoilers. If anyone insists on discussing any aspects of the series then they should provide a warning at least. I really hate the American season breaks. At least when a series is shown here, it is shown every week. In the US, they take random breaks that last 6 or 8 weeks... Guess patience is a vritue.
  15. Yeah that's the best episode by a mile.
  16. Just checked ebay and there are a lot of bids going on. Here's one: click
  17. The series is great for sure, but my god was the finale anti-climactic. Basically everything you know from the first few episodes, is everything you know at the end - they answer nothing!! Still season 2 starts in September, so looking forward to it.
  18. True, can't afford the fake ones either. (Luckily I don't smoke). TPBM can solve the following equation (i.e. find : 2(x^2) + 3x + 1 = 0
  19. That game is long out of print... your best bet might be ebay or something. I thought the game was OK but thought it was stupid how the whole terrain was flat. There's no point in hills/mountains/cliffs - no matter how steep they are, you could always climb up them. In Red Alert, you'd have to find a way round. I liked how you could hide in forests n stuff though.
  20. False, I've got a scar on the top of my mouth though - which is decidedly annoying. TPBM loves seafood.
  21. Yeah they'd be better off providing an English dub or something on the DVD...
  22. Man I felt the film was pretty pathetic. If you've not seen the Japanese version then maybe it's ok... however I felt it came close to being a scene by scene rip off. It tried to be original by involving a lot more of the minor characters, namely the husband, but these scenes feel redundant. There is no tension and even cheap Hollywood jump frights are kept to a minimum. The ending was the worst, very anti-climactic and disappointing. Plus in typical Hollywood style - everything is nicely explained to the audience. SPOILER Part of the fear was lost by knowing what the main ghost girl (Natasha) looked like, quite early on in the film. In the Japanese version, her face is obscured in the poster and even when we get to see her in the flesh, her facial features are too disfigured to make out. I don't see how Natasha can mess around with the plumbing in the school. There was a lot of unintentional humour. Like when Jennifer Connelly's character opens the tank, gets a fright... then opens the tank again. Later we see the ambulance/police come once... and then again in the space of a few hours. Plus John C. Reilly and Pete Postlethwaite were used as comic reliefs, which was utterly embarasing. The Japanese one had no humour, non stop suspence and chills all the way through. END SPOILER Obviously if you hated the Japanese version, don't even bother with this.
  23. Ichi The Killer Spoiler - Don't Read Ok let's go... ICHI THE KILLER SPOILER - DON'T READ It's been a while since I watched the movie, so my memory's a little blurry. Kakihara is masochistic bastard who is longing for the ultimate fight. After seeing what Ichi had done, he is genuinely scared and thrilled at the same time, so he looks forward to eventually fighting him. Little does he know that Ichi is not the sadistic psycho he imagined, but a poor disturbed retard who is being manipulated by someone else (Jiji). After psyching himself up, only to discover that Ichi is a shameful mess, Kakihara ends up feeling delusional and escapes to his own fantasy - a sort of masturbation, if you will, to achieve his pleasure. Kakihara deafens himself by placing needles in his ears to seek refuge from reality. He imagines Ichi to come to his senses, slice the wee boy's head off and eventually charge. Kakihara is then kicked in the forehead by the spikes on Ichi's boots, causing Kakihara to fall off and scream with sincere pleasure - this is how he wanted to die. Although that's not the case, he of course imagined the whole thing. The final shot of Kaikhara has no scar on his forehead, implying that he fell off himself. We then see Ichi as the original crying mess on the roof, still getting a kicking from the boy. What happens next? I think Jiji disposes of Ichi and uses the wee boy (who lost his father to Ichi) to train him to be the next ultimate killer. Only I think it backfires and the wee boy eventually kills Jiji (we see an old man hanging). That's what I think. I love this damn movie. Seek out the uncut Dutch version if you can (UK version is censored).
