  1. err, doesn't that just make more money for the touts? they buy a ticket for 100, sell it for 300 on ebay, then get their original 100 refunded by DF? have i missed something?
  2. i do if it makes me go for longer
  3. that seems to be the main staple diet of most members, but you'll find that a lot of people do also like a lot of dance/hip hop/electro, etc etc, it just doesn't get spoken about as much. if you haven't been there already there's some forums at http://www.drum-aberdeen.co.uk that have more dance orientated chat.
  4. that's quite good actually, i enjoyed it. the recording quality isn't that bad either, nothing a bit of spit and polish couldn't fix.
  5. i usually hate the dreary bastards too, but i actually quite liked that single "is it any wonder" that they did
  6. i thought he got it for this http://www.limmy.com/playthings/xylophone/
  7. yep, i've sold guitar pedals, sold a drum machine, bought a 19" rack trolley, 'tis all good. i had been interested in both of the behringer control surfaces above and sent a message by pm, but got no reply. i guess it's the way you approach things.
  8. but how can samual be in big brother AND river city??
  9. i always thought he was the original inspiration for principal skinner
  10. more importantly, why didn't they just do it anyway
  11. saw this and thought of you http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PROTEC-RACKMOUNTED-FLIGHT-CASE-IN-VERY-GOOOD-CONDITION_W0QQitemZ7417225402QQcategoryZ41403QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  12. i did worry that it was getting a bit pansy like towards the end. hopefully the vocals will help define the song, i need to get calum over to growl disdainly over everything, that'll sure as fuck make it miserable!
  13. lean, chopped, pan fried with chopped onions, garlic, tomato puree, water, feta cheese, chives and finally chopped tomatoes. cheap as chips, easy peasy.
  14. what is DFH? is it like a drum machine? - drums sound overly quiet in the mix, and too reverbed, though i suppose given the music that could be labelled a "production quality" - guitars seem boomy at times, could maybe cut some middle or something. feels like i'm going through a wind tunnel rather than bracing a hail storm. - i think i can hear bass guitar in there, but it's quiet and seemingly lacking any really grit and bottom end. - vocals sound not bad, but could do with being cleaned up, need more "sheen" or something (i.e. some high end). i don't know what the V67G is - who makes it? did you use a pop shield when doing the vocals. in contrast to the rest of the instrumentation, the vocals could maybe use a tad of stereo delay or something to shake it about a bit, especially when the backing vocals come in. some very technical guitar work, reminds me of wyld stallionz a lot, but that's only cos i don't listen to this kind of music. better than your foyer demos by far, home recording definitely suits some kinds of bands a lot more than others.
  15. yeah i bought "in search of a meaningful moment" last week and really quite like it. it reminds me a bit of "protection" era massive attack. will check out the new album
  16. i think it will be, soon. once we hash out some vocals for it.
  17. a remake of an old lifeshade song called monosyllabic. this one, surprisingly, is also called monosyllabic. http://gcguide.co.uk/audio/monosyllabic.mp3
  18. have you changed your mind about selling that stuff then?
  19. cornwall. you can probably get a train direct to penzeance, book ahead and it shouldn't cost too much to go there. lovely clean beaches, surfing, all sorts of other watersports, warm weather....
