  1. I agree with this up to a point, BUT The Scorpions still destroyed Communism, and until a band betters that, they deserve all the praise they get.
  2. Five games, five wins, fifteen goals and five points clear of not Celtic, not Rangers, but Killie! It's quite enjoyable being a Jambo at the moment.
  3. Surreal Madrid!!! Still a cracking band name (late 90s big beat)
  4. OK, I've resisted thus far, but.... YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!
  5. I'm actually, genuinely terrified of Old Greg. Excellent use of the word "mangina" though. And Bootsy Collins references.
  6. Riiiiiiiiight, so I fork out 280 for one with a hard-disk (let's think about this logically...) and I can't save anything until I fork out more money for a - probably small - memory card. INSPITE OF THE FACT I've just spent the best part of 60 on an HD (HDs being notorious for their ability to save things) that would cost 30 in the shops. I got to get myself into one of these rackets. I reckon these benevolent Microsoft people aren't all their cracked up to be....
  7. Germany won. But you won't find that documented in your Anglophile, pig-dog textbooks. No-one likes to admit it.
  8. Oxygenwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
  9. Vacuous tv for idiots. And catchphrase comedy comes under exactly the same category. Although it is nice of BBC to break up their comedy bit on a Thursday night with the Catherine Tate show. Gives you a chance to get things ready for a Friday.
  10. God no (I haven't seen it)! Just consider the concept... Someone else does Bill Hicks' material. It's like an even more evil version of tribute bands. Stand up comedy/social satire just can't be done like that. The material's all to do with the person who's doing its personality/delivery. it's so individual, that I just can't see any way that it can be anything other than sacrilege to try and do someone else's set (Dennis Leary take note). Pissing on his grave.
  11. If today's a pointer for the rest of the season, I'd imagine Scottish football will be giving a fuck about Hearts very soon.
  12. Actually, on reading your description again, it sounds nothing like The Vanishing. It sounds rubbish. It does however remind me of a TV movie I watched with my old man when I was about 11, which had a haunted Jaguar Mark II, which may well be this...http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089630/plotsummary. And you might get something from this: http://www.imdb.com/Find?select=Plots&for=buried+alive. I got bored looking through the various results. On another note, I discovered the other day that one of my pals has an entry on imdb.com, which is cool. For him.
  13. Hmm, sounds a bit like The Vanishing up to a point (Jeff Bridges). Maybe? Or the Dutch original...http://www.kamera.co.uk/reviews_extra/spoorloos_the_vanishing.php Don't remember any post-burial booby-traps though.
  14. Yeah. I'm sure his ex-wife agrees: "with Mr Cook revealing an affair with his secretary to his wife Margaret as they prepared to head off on holiday " (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/politics/2856293.stm) As politicians go, he wasn't bad, and I fully agreed with his stance and subsequent actions over the Iraq war, but he was *far* from squeaky clean in either his politics or personal affairs.
