The Liquid Rooms are mental. When we went to see Biffy last week we arrived at 7.45 (doors 7pm) and had not only missed the first support, but about a third of aerogramme. Bastards.

I thought the first Ben Kweller album was pretty poor. Is the new one any better? When we saw him at Reading he seemed like an arrogant little man as well. I quote "This means nothing to me, I played here when I was 15. I'm only here because my manager made me"...I felt loved.

I think the Outkast double album is fantastic. Both cd's have a totally different vibe and both are done very well IMHO.

I saw them in Edinburgh on Tues night with Aerogramme and they were fantastic. Simon was wearing the most appauling tight short brown trousers though... But anyway. Aerogramme were on good form, and Biffy were brilliant so go to Forress, it'll be worth it.

You know what I totally don't understand. People who only smoke on a night out. You're not hooked, you know it does horrendous things to you body - what's the point? It's almost like it a 'trying to impress people' thing, whether conciously or subconciously. I'm not directinh that at you, just social smokers in general.

Eagerly doesn't describe it. I loved the fragile, but the intensity and the immediateness of some of the stuff of PHM and Downward Spiral are what got me when I first heard NIN. I don't think the man can put a foot wrong.

Like Up-Front Security in Glasgow who dragged my mate into an area they new to be a cctv blackspot and hospitalised him? I think it will be unwelcome not only from the point of smokers, but from publicans as well. A ban on smoking in a busy pub would be immensly hard to police, and many pubs may see themselves being disadvantaged by adopting a no smoking policy. How many smokers want to spend the night in a no smoking pub?

They played some of the tracks on radio one about a week ago and it sounds great, but not as 'raw' as their stuff to date. I can't wait to see them in Glasgow. Have just been enjoying 'do dallas' all the way back from inverness.

Perseverence by Terrorvision and Big Me by the Foo Fighters which I heard when we first got sky. Then I saw Terrorvision on the front of a magazine called Kerrang, which I started buying, and their promo cd's got me into the wonderful world of rock. And that, as they say, was that.

I would like some DJ Yoda. I heard his set on radio one and it was wicked. I'm so out of touch with anything outside of the library at the moment that I think thats about it. I did however get the Lost In Translation OST the other week and it is very very good. Very mellow, but some great contrasting tracks.

The first time I ever went to drakes was to see my mates band Cordless play there with the Mango Men about 5 years ago. The Castlegate venue was ace - so cosy. I love the new venue as well though for all it's trashy 'glamour'. An Aberdeen treasure.

Reading has never been a 'rock' festival. Reading has always had a 'rock' day which tends to be the Sunday.

Don't you just wish the Darkness had been given enough dosh to play Glastonbury.
