  1. Try to make the inner room as free from direct contact with outer room as possible. Much of the noise spillage comes from sound traveling through framework, posts, joist etc. Spaces filled with insulation!
  2. Pretty much Stuart Not music spaces I'm afraid. Supported spaces, as much as finances and time will allow and association to various orgs that offer support. My energies are moving on from current employment and are being focused more in doing and facilitating over advising. Phase one!
  3. Small but important edit! 'office or studio space'
  4. Just gauging interest re a development I'm involved with. Aimed at designers, digital or otherwise, or anyone, involved with the creative sector, looking for office space in town. Plans are afoot to establish around six medium sized office spaces that will be in an open plan area (dividers will be in place so not fully open plan). These spaces, as mentioned are aimed at young or established 'creative sector' businesses that may have outgrown a bedroom or kitchen table. If anyone is interested fess up and give me a shout. Nothing firmed up at the moment but we are looking at possibly a few months tops for access if all goes to plan. Costs etc are still being established. I will add that there is a flexibility to the space so we may be able to accomodate special requests depending on needs. Cheers Jim
  5. Hmmmm Someone should test this out and see what they do. The wording does suggest unlimited use on the higher package and if they do decide to cap it then that would suggest a breach of contract no? Personally it makes no odds to me and I didnt buy into then for this reason. Im just a lazy bastard that doesnt need to go to the video shop any more...
  6. I have no idea what a 'found' but it looked like my phone.
  7. Sky for me. Super fast,14Mb. Very helpful if something needs seeing too. Not that I have had real issues. Thought I had but the lovely lady on the found helped me discover that I had a few bugs in my Mac causing slow internet... I was with BT and had no problem with them. Just moved everything over to Sky for simplicity and a touch cheaper over a year.
  8. My boy turns 12 in a few weeks and I don't trust him to cross a road on his own yet, well I do and I am exaggerating for effect. I found that picture and this story disturbing.o_O
  9. Twas busy indeed! Did anyone get blue paint on them from the main gallery? Props to Craig for is use of the space in the main gallery! Go PVA!
  10. Bass Meister and moi should be in attendance, as long as there are seat! and no stairs to tackle, and hot chocolate
  11. Aaaah, the Venue. Run in the day by Mr Duncan Hendry of APA. Spent three nights a week in there and saw some great and not so great bands. It was odd in the fact that the bands, most touring, were only part of the evening as it was basically an alternative music dancing club that would have bands on around 11.30-12. Most of the time we would head for the bar area whilst the bands were on. They were all of an alternative persuasion though. Imagine The Tunnels/Moshulu where the focus is on the DJ and he gets a break for a band or two. Met my wife there when I was a psychobilly and she was a goth (and I was a couple of stone lighter) Was generally open Thursday through to Saturday but would open other nights for gigs. I should ask Duncan if he still has a list of all the bands that played there or a scrapbook.
  12. Maybe if he has no peripheral vision to speak of then you would be right.o_O
  13. He likes a bit of method does Mr Bale. Probably getting himself wound up for the next take. Couple slips back into to the Laaandin accent though.tsk tsk
  14. Thoughts are that I wouldn't wish this on anybody but I don't particularly want to hear about it just because she is who she is. Its horrible to even think that this can be used as some crazy marketing opportunity and I am sure it isn't (shoudn't be) the case but deep down I bet we cant help thinking this... 'Big Brother contemplates Cancer sufferers house'. Last one living wins something to be used within a few months. And no I am not making light of this. The world is indeed a sick place a great deal of the time!
  15. Is that not classed as the 'semi contact karate side kick' which is only a minor offence and may just warrant a talking too. I thought my eyes were playing tricks
  16. What no unheard of and unseen before signing Dutch Winger/Defender for the Dons. Dissapointed
  17. Public Notice Due to snow England is now closed!o_O
  18. Foster is a repeat 'worst player'... Fuck knows what tubby sees in him... He can run fast I suppose! Taking Duff of who sounded like he was having a good game and one of the better players? JC had his buffoon hat on yesterday it would seem
  19. Walter Smith used it last week so JC uses it this week. Not only that but playing Foster and Mackie anywhere in the 11 is starting with 9 men. Stability was happening with repeated use of 4 4 2 but he tinkered and look what happens. Of course he blamed the players who, by all accounts, looked totally confused most of the game. I'm not in the Jimmy must Go camp but for fuck sake, Falkirk, amongst others...
  20. I'm going to ram raid this gig and set up on stage and play before the main act just for the good times!
  21. I hope they do and I hope they have some really good support bands!
  22. Anyone got any recommendations for good virtual guitar amps? Preferably something that can take the bass as well... Been using Line 6 Toneport UX1 but I get a bloody error message now saying I may not hear the tones and have lost patience and would like something a little more robust but not too expensive. Cheers in advance for any pointers:up:
  23. Dying probably did more harm than anything that happened when not dead. Saying that Dying may also have proved a shrewed and clever career move with regards to an immortal place in rock history
  24. I know I'm being a pedant but can you not just say 'they' instead of 'we'. Just reads daft. I would stick an IMO but it probably isn't just MO. Its just that I read your posts and at the appropriate part of a sentence someone runs into my room and shouts 'WE'. Yeah that lst bits in my head but I've had a pleasant but long day...
  25. well, In that case, *voting for Kitchen Cynics*. Not that I wouldn't have anyway but you opened the door:up:
