Few drums + imagination = less wastage Clem Burke (Blondie) Simply tops! Sly and Robbie! Okay it's a Rythm section but they are the business in the groove dept! Oh the surprise... When I checked this thread out an realised that I was looking at the guy we auditioned only last week for the Staccato Set. At the very least Zig has asked to use his guitar... J

Since no one is likely to mention this... I am going to take the opportunity to say that this gig came about via Drake's and Peacock Visual Arts! Apparently the council have no idea there are venues in the city... We were obviously, physicaly, a little too small so I pushed the Tunnels cause I'm like that (smiling). The London production company aren't at all needy... Nice people but cheesh the things they want! Seriously though this is great for Aberdeen even though most locals won't get in... I'll be there and I don't even like them, sorry my mate 'Jack' is in town!!!

News Flash The reason Dr Drake's shut down was that we just found out that Shaz had lied about her age! She is infact only 14!!!!! We nearly got busted for having a teeny behind the bar and impersonating management! o_O

Everyone Note... I'll just reiterate for the sake of it that there will be no booze on sale, no entry fee but you will be expected to 'donate' something when inside! Dave and myself will be making sure we know who is who. This is to purely to make sure that no unwanted types get in. We are not open to the public but that doesn't mean stay away. If you are reading this or passing the news on then you most likely should be in the building! This will be the last promotion of any description in the building that used to be Dr Drake's... And again this is not an excuse to damage or disrespect anything that does not belong to you... I have to hand a building back to the landlord soon, in a fit state! Fuck knows why but anyhoo... Music will have the last word!

Thought they were sublime... Where have all those folks that were there last night been hiding by the way? Monkeys.... Thanks Flash Cheers for the offer my good man but I'm afraid we don't do regular. The nature of our bookings and promotions will be based around, primarily, out of town and international acts on tour etc. Defining one night to promote would be difficult but the offer is mucho appreciato. If things come up that can be done on a Saturday we will be calling. Cheers Jim

Because The circumstances and decisions made over the last few weeks have meant that it is difficult to maintain any sort of normality. This event is not going to be regular occurance. There 'may' be one other 'party' but we cease being tennants at the start of March. I will be regulating the door on this night and making sure all is in order. If I don't know you or don't have a name you will not get in!!! Joe public cannot enter. It will be invite only (sort of) so if you want to go, pm Sharon or myself with names! Jim
