  1. Sorry Our sincere apologies for not being able to inform all that were booked through ourselves or another. Time is always an enemy and we are working through a very long list. Sorry
  2. Ayee Cheers Mr Del. It was always a pleasure and never a chair/stool! We loved trying to suss what had been in yer kebab by the bits in yer beard. But seriously, thank you Luv J
  3. Oh dear Not those sleazy old bastards 'Staccato Set' again?! Any idea how our songs go?
  4. erm I remember when a packet of crisps was only 2p, there were more in the packet and Mars bars were huge! I was however half the size I am now!
  5. Oh And the doors may a good bit earlier than 8pm. Keep ye posted! Jim
  6. OH MY OH MY OH MY!!!!!!!!! I fear for the structure of the building! Jim
  7. My Grandfather was the projectionist there through the war and due to this my Dad would insist on taking my Mum on hot courting dates to the cinema there. He had free pass book! Cheap skate romantic Gigs: Spear of Destiny, U2, The Cure, Siouxie and The Banshees, Flock Of Seagulls (Jeez), Cramps, Tears for Fears and many more that I can't remember. Great venue and many great gigs. Back when you used to have to Queue for tickets at a BOX OFFICE... (wave of nostalgia paasing over me for my youth)...
  8. And GREENBLADE!!! But anyone that would have gone to the gigs would likely have been a little worse for wear due to to over absorbtion of smokey stuff. So wouldn't remember the gigs or the band.... J
  9. I want... To go to WOWLAND!!!!! Or was it in the house last night?
  10. But They will probably cancel and I may end up looking a little foolish... Can't have that now...
  11. Hmmmm Tricky one. Not quite sure how I feel about them...
  12. I Know! And I apologised profusely to the somebodies for it! We all have to learn! Did you know that 'Queen of the Deen scene' Shaz has a big hat in the office and just pulls random names out of it for gigs. No mystery to this promoting lark you know. I'm getting my own hat based on the phone directory so be expecting me at your door to drag you to Drake's to be right happily entertained. (I often take names out of her hat by the way, there is a limit to my patience).
  13. Anyone interested in something at some time? Jim
  14. ... Oi! I'm likely to be crashing on some birds floor!
  15. Well... I myself can't as 'he' doesn't want me anymore. But I am led to believe that 6pm will be no problem at all. What time will 'he' and 'his' band be playing on stage? And 'he' might be staying over!
  16. Me, the Gretch Kit! A nice deep red colour... I'm quite lovely even if I say so myself
  17. We have done everything in our power to stop you foggies coming into the bar but it seems that your determination to stay young surpasses our 'enforcing rules' ability! That sort of desire has to be rewarded which we do with patience! You are all so slow when moving around the venue! Cheeeesh... You all need to shave yer heeds and get a silly beard! It disguises actual age!
  18. Yup Can't beat a good, to quote the late Mr Peel, "Fuddledumff indeed".
  19. Clearing the venue! Just put Deadloss MF Superstar on last at every Moshulu gig. Place would be empty by the second tune and ready for all the bleezers! (Love you Bri)
  20. My thoughts... Regardless of what folks say, where each individual prefers to hang out, what musical taste they have, I believe that Aberdeen has some of the most diverse gigs happening in Scotland. We are very lucky to have so many promoters willingly pushing gigs that more often than not are a big financial risk(proportionate to each venue). So I say go out every fucking night, go to all the venues and spend your fucking money on nothing else but live music (and ear plugs) ye shower oh cheap bastards Jim
  21. Urban Atlas!!!! Anyone intersted in hearing what some of Aberdeens top dj's have as their favourite top ten tunes need get along to the LIMOUSINE BULL artist' collective space on Langstane Place (across from Yates's bar) between 12 and 7. These performances are part of the Urban November week at the space. The reason I mention this here is that our very own Shaz is playing between 3-4. Yes you too can be witness to Sharon Drake's musical infuences (god help us). I will add that I myself (Jim) will be adding an installation (and yes it is art!) to this week on the sunday between the 12-7. What a blast! Hope to see some of you around there. www.urbannovember.org
  22. Due to a failing and lacking in 'Audio Dropoutness' tonights entertainment will be brought to you by the wonderful ears of Andy (Staccato Set) Bass. This man plays a blinding dj set of all sorts whilst getting steadily more pissed and animated! I, Mr J Stacc, may well join in with some old skool punk and fromage for the laughs... All for the price of a few pints and giggles. You know you wanna! Jim
  23. GRETCH 5 piece fusion shell pack potentialy seeking a new home due to my owner buying another kit! My sizes are 20" 14" 12" 10" 14"snare. No hardware with me I'm afraid. I'm in wonderful condition though and my bass drum is killer! The price I hear you ask... Well I will put myself about for 500 ono. If any of you are interested in having me in your life then pm me or call and leave a message for that two timing sod Jim at Drake's... He did love me and still does I think. He just said that it was time to move on and I would be happier with some one that could show me the love I need... Hmmmmm
