  1. It's a very well known design of tremolo... So anyone know any places?
  2. Or get Black Atom to be huge and everyone will be happy!
  3. You should get a plaque put up in Drakes with something like "Nicky Casino 19??-2004 glorious bar tender"
  4. Steinberger basses look the shit! Not the small bodied ones that are more associated with the name but the more traditional shaped basses look great. Does anyone know where you can buy a Steinberger bridges and the string anchor for the top of the neck?
  5. I haven't checked the DiMarzio site out yet, got a link?
  6. Something that's not going to get muddy with all the distortion your going to be using. Something with a bit of bite...check out the seymour duncan page for ideas...it has a program to help you select.
  7. I saw their video on Scuzz I think...or the channle that doesn't exsist now...it was pretty lame aswell as being crap.
  8. Yeah Fender own guild. Those baases are DeArmond <sp?> they make another model or two...like a really extreme J bass end meets something more modern for the horns <below> aswell as alot of Gibson style solid body electrics...not owned by Fender that's for sure.
  9. Let us know what it's like to play? If it's that good I might look into it but currently I find the basses appearence rather off putting.
  10. Yeah I just read up on it. It's all about sounding like a double bass. One draw back is that you need to use talc on your left hand other wise the strings feel sticky. Also another draw back is that it's looks a bit weird...I would prefer to see a full size version but perhaps that's not possible with rubber strngs and a longer scale length and there for increased tension...I don't think I could play an instrument like that live...though it may be handy for recording work...
  11. I've seen them live, they weren't awesom but I wouldn't call them the lamest band of the year. At least their doing something constructive. Nor does Metallica realeasing a bad album make them lame...it's the darkness I tells ya!
  12. Why rubber strings? What's the benifits?
  13. But theres no point in going on about PCB as the majority of people here don't have access to PCB making facilities, I hopefully will have next year at uni but currently I make do with other methods.
  14. I said what my problem was...they are a rip offering nothing new nor interesting...all the bands they are like are better...why settle for something new and worse when you can have old and better...
  15. The Darkness...nothing new yet people seem to worship them, would much rather see them doing something new rather than copying everything before hand. Can't believe their on a compilation next to Queen, Guns and Roses, Motorhead and all the other classics.
  16. Rubber strings? What's going on there then?
  17. The pros have done it all already you just need to copy their designs and change values to suit...no challenge there...no need for software! Obviously if you have an electronics background you can do it yourself, simple op-amp understanding will get you a distortion pedal...no need for expensive circuit software...
  18. Is there anywhere local or near Aberdeen that do full guitar restoration <re-finish, re-fret, restore hardware, the works basically>? I have a late 60's SG in need of some attention and was wondering if there is anywhere that people can recommend. Places to get it set up <trus rod, bigsby, intonation, action etc> would also be of benifit. If there's no where local then national would also be fine?
  19. you wouldn't need to make a PCB though you could if you had the option...breadbaords are also an option though wires do tend to fall out now and again, not the most permanent way of making circuits. As for soldering your going to need to solder connectors on...personally I'd solder the lot together myself through a insulated board as I don't have the facility to make PCB's
  20. Those are definatly of Dan caliber on the joke front, well done!
