Old Gold
That's a lot of good stuff that totally passed by me. Got loads of METH BEAST demoes on my laptop, but so far only finished the one track: http://methbeast.bandcamp.com/ Will get back on that in 2014 hopefully. Got out of the usual comfort zone on some Not A Teepee tracks with Les Pelicans: http://notateepee.bandcamp.com/track/one-million-silver-space-ships ...and upped some punx under the guise of The Schwimmers: http://notateepee.bandcamp.com/track/good-job-im-good-lookin Also did a handful of EPs with Les Pel, including one full of Elvis covers, one of songs inspired by 80s action movies and some other stuff. This song about Meg Ryan was probably my personal musical highlight of the year: http://lesplicans.bandcamp.com/track/1989-meg-ryan Also had a lot of fun with the ol' album artwork. Good year to be a bedroom rockstar.
Jaaakkkeee
I was in a band, we played some gigs, the singer turned out to be a mental case and there was no band anymore. I asked her to sing in my band. Was a flimsy maybe.
Soda Jerk
I would like to hear more of The Schwimmers. Sounds like a more guitar-wankier DWARVES, which appeals to me and my ears.
Adam Easy Wishes
Ah - Marionettes' debut album. I missed that... I've been out of the loop on all things local for a while. I must seek this out. Is it on iTunes? EDIT: Do Deportees still exist? I have the first EP/single but haven't seen any other recorded output. Yep, we had a year out while we shuffled things about a wee bit but we're definitely back. Will be taking a few months off at the start of the year and then hopefully doing some recording. Can't ask for more than that. The rest of the Teepee Schwimmers tracks are more slightly slimy alt-country, but hopefully I'll finish off some more noisier stuff this coming year (also found someone who's significantly better at drums to lean on). http://notateepee.bandcamp.com/track/gramps-is-high-againhttp://notateepee.bandcamp.com/track/girl

fertuiee
Pretty busy this year really, since joining Deadloss weve been writing a shed load of new stuff, so hopefully will get that recorded at some point in the not too distant future for folks to listen too. Been trying for aaaaaages to do a doom project, but its basically fizzled out into doing home demos with the hope of doing it seriously at some point. This is what it was / is sounding like. https://soundcloud.com/#the-hidden-mountain Oh!! speaking of DOOM, i did a Christmas song!!! just an experiment to see what sort of sound i could get in the house really. Full of mistakes and dodgy solos but anyway. Its called "The Lloyd Christmas Song" https://soundcloud.com/#forget-to-remember/track-title ...some acoustic stuff i mess about with from time to time there also. HateEvent
No releases on my part this year (Bisongrass album was last year). Just wrote more Bisongrass stuff and done a bunch of good gigs (supporting ANVIL probably being the highlight), reignited 'Thanks For Nothing' after 4 years and toured with Filthpact in October when the Chulo split came out. It has been a lot of fun this year. Looking forward to next year for sure.
scottyboy
Wrote a lot of bits and pieces, including some full compositions and even recorded a full demo track with guitars, no bass and a single, monotonous drum loop. Not quite fleshed out enough to subject to a public airing but it's a start... Started a master's in September and have barely had time to pick up a guitar since, and I'll be lucky not to have to sell mine before I'm done. Plan for this year is to get through the second term, get an income again, buy a bass and improve my drum programming, and develop the stuff into demos I can actually show to people.
