Not long now!!

Laika's Countdown To Launch: 5......

Some good news for you all: there will be food on Friday! Us lot at mission control are going to be getting our bake on, so you can enjoy bands, beers and baked goods, hooray! In return for a little sugary goodness, we'd ask that you would kindly pop a small donation in our tin for Friends of Anchor. As many of you may know, the inspiration for the name of the event "Laika Come Home" came from a track of the same name by our dear friend Dave Mackay, a huge supporter of local live music.

Additionally, there's going to be one final limited run of the Das McManus EP, You Can't Fight The Magic, available at this gig, again for a small donation. This will be the last opportunity to pick up a physical copy, so snap 'em up while you can! xx

why do people always want to know stage times? kind of disrespectful for the support artists...

Not really disrespectful. Maybe there are other gigs that someone is going to? Or maybe it's the case that he only wants to come and see Das McManus or something. Nothing wrong with that at all, however frustrating for the support bands.

sometimes people don't live in aberdeen and have to travel in or travel back home meaning they might miss bands they really want to see. sometimes people are just doing other things. and sometimes you shouldn't presume so much. maybe they're asking for stage times to ensure they don't miss any of the support bands.

I'm going to miss most of the Middlesbrough v Sheffield Wednesday match that's on tv tonight. If I can make that kind of sacrifice you can be tired at work tomorrow.

I too am merked about this. Wednesday are rarely on the telly, and the last time they were, Kirkland got smacked in the mouth. What could possibly happen this time?
