Neil
As mp3.com have gone bust then it is only a matter until their web site shuts down. I would strongly recommend anyone that hosts their MP3s there find somewhere else to put them.

A money making scheme, that hasn't made them any money...And as far as the email thing goes, just do what I do, have a hotmail account to use for setting up accounts on other sites you think may bring spam. It's easy to avoid.

No really, just shut up.So many times i have come this close to replying to your threads all over the place on aberdeen-music but just didnt coz i knew youd prolly have some stuck up snidey reply to make which just goes on to become a flame war which is your speciality by the looks of it, have an opinion no one is going to agree with and let the fun commence, well im going to try and keep it together here....Never heard of black atom? My Arse, you seemed to know enough about us in our covers thread where you basically turned up to tell us covers suck and Metals a big heap of pish, youve posted about 20 times on our forum (yeah i am sad enough to of looked) dont know who we are? as previously stated... Shut Up. Never heard us? probably! Never seen us live? Wouldnt surprise me! but never heard of us? sounds like a blatant heap of pish to me man.Oh and we dont expect to have a fan base, were quite happy if anyone turns out to our gigs, as foreskin ninja will back up as he was one ninth of the audience at some local band night at kef a few months back. Ok maybe some people get into this game and expect to be playing to a packed donington or earls court within a few months, but dont get those arrogant fuckers confused with Black Atom. I havnt been in this for almost 6 bloody years, working from the very bottom (empty school discos etc) just to have some stuck up prick telling me that our music doesnt exist. If you really wanna hear us, our cd is in One-Up, i also belive the AUBL were hosting one of our songs on mp3 for a while, i dont know if its still there, i know there was a bit of a problem with their mp3's. Putting it on MP3.com was a half arsed afterthought, it was just out of curiosity if anyone would download it, which they did i belive. Blackatom.co.uk will be hosting some in the near future as well, so if you really do want to hear us you'll have your chance.Yours Lovingly

Its reality as I see it. sorry if that doesnt fit with yours. So don't tell me to shut up please wee man. o_O Take the rough with the smooth.Yes, to me your music doesnt exist, because the only thing i know of your band is what im reading in here. Glad to hear you have spent 6 years at it, to play to audiences of 9 people. Nice one. Keep at it. Anyway:I don't buy cd's. Neither do a lot of people these days. You would be doing yourself a favour by actually putting some of your recordings on-line, and generating some interest - and nothing to lose by doing so (unless you really need that 2 quid for your cd in one up and are worried about people downloading your stuff). Maybe if you hadn't treated the internet as an after-though then I would've heard your stuff by now....

Instead we merely download MP3s in gigantic quantities while masturbating to Thai ladyboy porn"What a fucking tool. Erm. There are news articles nearly every week about the decline of CD sales. The RIAA is suing everyone under the sun including 12 year olds. --> Even your beloved metallica wants to sue people who download their songs <-- (which just goes to show that they are in it for the money). Why go into a shop and spend 15 quid to get a piece of plastic and some paper? I want the music, not to give 15 quid for the media and the packaging. Did you know that UK CD prices are artificially inflated, and that UK CD sales subsidise the american CD sales, so they can buy CD's cheaper? (This is due to a tax loophole and also contributes to talent from the UK being taken out of the country to the USA).A lot of people don't buy CD's anymore because they know these things, and because they don't want to be ripped off. This is a fact, as you will realise if you read the news about it. If you want to be suckered into parting with your cash, thats fine! But you would be surprised how many people dont.*shrug*
Joe Atom
Seeing as how your 'listening to' section seems to suggest that you are one of those people who thinks it's cool to only like obscure bands (and then probably disown them when they have any commercial success I bet) I would have thought that you would have wanted to support them by actually giving them some of your cash. Fair enough, Metallica are a bunch of sell-outs who really don't need the money, but the smaller acts do if they are to continue being profitable, so by not buying their cds you are contributing in part to their downfall. Which seems like a bit of a stupid principle really. I like small bands (Area 54 and Blaze for example) so I buy their cds to keep them going so they can make another album for me to buy and enjoy. Plus Mp3s sound like shit, the compression makes all the high frequencies sound swirly and shit.I really couldn't care less if people download our tunes, in fact I heartily encourage it! But if they're on MP3.com, don't come whingeing to us that you can't download any of our songs, when it's just your own dislike for a particular website that stops you getting them. Hundreds of people have downloaded 'Last Day' and one whingeing ninny who can't work out how doesn't really bother us to be honest. As for your mockery of our time and effort, if you had actually been arsed going to moshulu on Saturday you would have seen many people going apeshit to our set, chanting our name and singing all the words... plus you would have been supporting this very website... but I forgot, it's against your principles to support something which you actually enjoy and make use of regularly
