Diesel
Just watched the Extras Christmas Special and I was absolutely stunned at the monologue given by Ricky Gervais' character Andy Millman in the Celebrity Big Brother scene. He encapsulated the cult of celebrity and obsession with fame so perfectly, that I was on the verge of tears.I'm can only assume it came straight from the heart - the delivery was so honest. It summed up just exactly how I feel about the whole obscene media/celebrity circus.Absolutely jaw-dropping!!!Top marks Mr. Gervais

Larsen B
It was pretty depressing overall. My favourite part was when after that monologue and Andy apologising to Maggie, seeing Darren think it was meant for him. And Gaffney working in the Carphone Warehouse was genius. framheim
it was repeated tonight, absolutely brilliant even if i did spend the whole time going "awww" for ashley jensen's character. great cast and loved when darren lambs mum phoned his mobile and the three of them were dancing behind the counter. extras is better than the office, fact. Paulscoconutass
"No fucking way, I'm Clive Owen... This is MENTAL!!!"Good episode, managed to walk the borders of comedy, drama perfectly! Also pretty autobiographical, which made it even better. Guest bluesxman
Despite a few very funny bits I thought it was overlong, repetitive and extremely disappointing.
Pierre Von Mondragon
The most telling part of the CBB scene was the new agents reaction to it 'brilliant, he is now saleable again', those people really exist, and maybe sometimes they are us all, to our discredit. KimyReizeger
I thought it funny that the character Andy was trying to take the noble road by breaking free from the chains of his popular show - and its tired catchphrases - whilst the special itself was really a tedious and often cringey same-fest.
