french_disko
A week? That's not long - I've been waiting for over 2 months for stuff to appear. Still waiting for something from 27th Dec - although judging by his sudden influx of negative feedback and the closure of his account, I doubt that will appear. So, armed only with his name, email address and home address, what do you think I should do in revenge? Posting Phone Books in brown paper envelopes without stamps on them was my first idea, as was signing him up to a million porn mailing lists. I'm bored - I think having a nemisis to torment might give me a new purpose in life.
Rachie
Depends on the seller's location. If they're in the UK there is no reason why they shouldn't have been able to get the item to you by now. I sold a couple of memory cards on Thursday and they were with my buyers on Saturday. Now if you've bought the thing from outside the UK... that can vary. Best response I've had has been stuff from Hong Kong arriving within a week, normally I'd expect a couple of weeks or so.If you're still getting no response from the seller you should prolly contact eBay. Scootray
I think the longest I've had to wait for something is a week. I've been fairly lucky with eBay.
A.Pel
nah still in the UK.It pisses me off alot because I put effort into selling my things and checking postage etc, its not that hard for someone else to do it too.Anyway ebay can't do anything can they? goatboy
Legally, the seller usually has 30 days in which to supply the goods. This is general mail order law.On eBay, if the seller is not responding you can open a dispute 10 days after the auction ends. This is probably your first option. If you get ripped off, somebody in Manchester or wherever volunteers to go round and put a brick through their window, you agree to do the same if somebody else gets ripped off by somebody from Aberdeen. A.Pel
Like the phone book idea. Somebody should set up an ebay vigilante collective. I am up for this. In all seriousness.Sometimes negative feedback just isn't enough.
allstardawn
generally i wait a week and if it hasn't turned up in that time, i e-mail the seller. if it hasn't arrived by 3 weeks and i've heard nothing then i'll file a complaint with paypal
Scootray
It looks like you generally wait 11 days to post a reply to a dead thread.
Sue Denim.. soulboy
I sold some stuff on ebay the other day and for once i'm glad I've got a crap memory. the buyer paid with paypal. I packaged up the item but forgot to take it to work with me. when i got home there was an email saying don't post the item somebody has hacken into my ebay account and bought loads of stuff and changed the address. there was also a email from paypal saying they had removed the money from my account so I would've ended up with no item and no money. so when another of my items sold I contacted the buyer by email before I sent out item. I also checked the guys name and address in bt online phone directory to make double sure. Don't think I'll accept paypal from uk buyers from now on it's too risky. Guy I know sold 4000 worth of records to someone in Italy. The guy in italy had put stuff on ebay which he didn't have to get 10,000 in his paypal account which he then spent on records. Obviously people started a paypal charge back against him coz they never got anything from him. Coz he had spent all the money in his paypal account paypal then withdrew money from the accounts of the people the guy in italy had bought from. hence guy I know lost his money as paypal said the situation was to complicated and washed there hands of it. So if you are selling stuff and accept paypal beware.Soulboy
