  1. The Early Years - s/t Kitchen Cynics - January Do Make Say Think - You, You're a History in Rust The Heads - Everybody Knows We Got Nowhere The Fall - Reformation Post-TLC Beirut - Gulag Orkestar Exploding Star Orchestra - We Are All From Somewhere Else
  2. Legally, the seller usually has 30 days in which to supply the goods. This is general mail order law. On eBay, if the seller is not responding you can open a dispute 10 days after the auction ends. This is probably your first option.
  3. You might want to think about getting the Region 0 DVD 'Bill Hicks Live : Satirist, Social Critic, Stand-Up Comedian' which contains 'One Night Stand', 'Relentless', 'Revelations' and the 'It's Just a Ride' documentary. (and if you don't have Sane Man, you should get that too!) As for the Beatles track, can't say offhand but he used Tomorrow Never Knows at times. Might be the one you're thinking of. Actually, I've had a thought - the psychedelic music you're thinking of could be the bit that was taken from his film with Kevin Booth, Ninja Batchelor Party, where they're getting wasted. I'm sure that was re-used somewhere, possibly in the It's Just a Ride documentary. Reckon it's originally a Marble Head Johnson track.
  4. Of course, the ideal band to play the Arthur Lee/Syd Barret night would be Baby Lemonade... (Not that I'm complaining. Fantastic lineup, I'm well excited...)
  5. If you're there long enough, you could try catching Aberdeen band APB! Some New York dates in December listed on their MySpace page http://www.myspace.com/apbtheband
  6. Check your AutoPlay options. Go to My Computer, right-click on the drive and select Properties, then go to the AutoPlay tab.
  7. I thought this graph of the relative harm of different drugs was quite interesting. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/5230006.stm I presume it considered social as well as medical aspects.
  8. A 10-minute trailer for his new series, Time Trumpet, was shown last night. Typical Iannucci class. Sort of like a show from the future, looking back at the celebs and events of 2006. The proper series should be out soon, watch out for it. http://www.timetrumpet.co.uk/ (some may find the clips potentially offensive)
  9. Edinburgh Queen's Hall - looks like he's revisiting the venue which hosted his collaborations with Steve Martland in '98 and '99 for the Flux Festivals. If it's anywhere as good as those shows were, this is going to be very special indeed. I know this is not until November, but I'm finding it very hard not to get excited anyway. Jason did a couple of new songs at the Daniel Johnston show in London a couple of months ago which sounded very promising for the new album.
  10. I'm coming to this discussion rather late, but I became an uncle recently and the baby was a whole 3 months premature. I couldn't believe just how small babies can be, she fitted into the palm of my hand. Anyway, I just wanted to say that without blood donors, both mother and child would have died, no question. So a big 'Thank you' to all who give blood, and to those who don't (and can) I would appeal to you to think about it. I was a total wimp when it came to needles, but once you do it it becomes no problem (in my experience, anyway).
  11. Some of the headlines really were genius. " 'Crazed wolves in store a mistake' admits Mothercare" I know it's a cliche, but it really did change the way you saw conventional news programmes afterwards. One of the best things about the DVD is that you get the mini-news trailers, some of which I missed first time around. "Alf Ramsey's Porn Dungeon! Alf Ramsey's Porn Dungeon! Alf Ramsey's Porn Dungeon! Alf Ramsey's Porn Dungeon! Alf Ramsey's Porn Dungeon!" Shame Chris Morris has gone off the boil a bit recently, I suspect Armando Iannucci was responsible for much of its greatness.
  12. He does talk about it in the video interview.

  14. That was very special, and Barzin are jolly nice fellows too. Another triumph for IMP
