i absolutely adore "days of future passed" and im currently trying to get into "on a threshold of a dream" and "to our childrens children" but they dont have the same feel as days of future passed

anybody have some guidance as to what would be a wise next step

No, it was The Yardbirds, that's why Clapton left, he thought they were going too poppy and he wanted to be a blues purist.

I only own "Days of future passed" (which i got on record for only 3.99 - god bless Groucho's in Dundee!!!)

Brilliant album. Definately need to get more of their earlier stuff.

I only have Days of Future Passed too and I love it. I hear they're touring later this year, although someone said it wouldn't be good because some members are missing. Who's there? Who's gone? Is it worth going to see? What does it all mean??

From 'the nights in white satin' era there are Justin Hayward, John Lodge and on novelty drum fills Graeme Edge(they have another drummer doing all the hard work).

The Seventh Sojurn is pretty good too - great cover as well (in vinyl gatefold format).

The Moodies have great harmony and the production is peerless, but it all sounds dated now (IMHO).

Still, nowt wrong with that I suppose in the era of digital production-line noise.

...there's a live one called 'Caught Live + 5' which is from a 1969 Albert Hall gig, plus 5 non-album studio tracks from the 1967 - 69 period which are as good as stuff from the proper albums from that time.
