Wishbone G
Holy shit, for a moment there i thought it was a genuine eruption. Thanks for killing my heart!Yellowstone is old news anyway. This generation has to stop thinking its so god damned important. Predicting that every major event in the history of earth is going to happen in our time. lepeep
aye, horizon had a programme on that ages ago..."where is the volcano ?....ah, this satelite picture shows that yellostone park IS the volcano"....I bet some people are praying to allah that it erupts sooner, rather than later. Doc Ascension
For a second I thought an eruption had actually happened, if so this would have been very very very bad news....However - we should be safe, but I wouldnt wanna be the next few generations haha... Tony Marlin
Holy shit! It's 40,000 years overdue and the ground is rising at the rate of 1cm a year, that's surely a bad sign. Funny all the similar threads below are about T in the Park
Stuart
I had never even heard of it until I read that. I'm sure if it was as big as its being made out to be, someone along the way would have mentioned it to me.

framheim
are you fissuring for compliments ?hah, that joke was just the tectonic!*sigh*yellowstone is nuts, no point in worrying about it though cause there really is fuck all anyone can do. if it erupts we're all fucked so just pretend it's not there, it can't be stopped and when it goes you can't do anything anyway so my advice is to try and go and see it at some point and if you get lucky you might just be standing on the centre when it goes and you'll die quick rather than suffocating on spiky ash or being frozen to death in the ensuing ice age.a great book which explains super volcanoes in easy to digest manners is of course bill bryson's book on science - a short history of nearly everything. framheim
i don't think it's actually erupting. just the person who posted the link was scared about the possibility of it erupting.
