Time Machine
Everyone has songs or records that remind them of particular events in their lives, whether they be good times or bad. Could be holidays, weddings, funerals etc, you name it! I've been trying to think of some for me!The Darkness - You're Really Growing On MeAbsolutely detested the band and this particular track, but reminds me of the best holiday of my life to Perth, Oz. We were all piled into a big Grand Jeep Cherokee, or whatever you call them tanks, and we were stopped at traffic lights with the windows down, volume cranked right up, in what you might call a 'Wayne's World' moment! The passengers in the car next us were bemused to say the least! The Complete Stone RosesThis whole album is probably the most important record of my life in terms of its impact. Not one track in particular, the whole album just reminds me of growing up, sneaking round to a mate's before discos and sipping a few 'Bud Ice' before we went out! Happy days! That album was played on repeat so many times with my mates, it most certainly had the largest impression on my musical tastes, and anything I ever seemed to buy was always compared to that record. Oasis might have been the band of my generation, but the Roses are my favourite band of all time, thanks in no small part to this compilation. The Who - My GenerationLads holiday. In bed after a night out. Fast asleep. Awake with a jump at 5am. Hear, what can only be described as an absolute racket. Frantic footsteps in the corridor, the banging gets louder. Open our apartment door to discover (along with just about every other guest on the floor, teeting their heads out of their doors) that my mate in the next room has 'My Generation' on full blast, and he's Keith-Mooning it on the table and the walls, singing at the top of his voice, obviously having had one San Miguel too many! I've never been so close to getting turfed out of a hotel in my life! Happy days!!!!
Larsen B
The song at the end of the Land Before Time strangely reminds me of my grandmothers funeral and Taxman by the Beatles reminds me of when my hamster Streaky died when i was little and my dad took us out to Montrose (of all places) for the day to cheer us up. Don't really like either song though.

Alan Cynic
Two songs resonate with meaning for me.....'I only want to be with you' by the Tourists, which an ex-girlfriend gave to me, then, when we split up a year and a half later she attacked it with a stanley knife!! (I never liked it anyway ).'Question' by the Moody Blues. I was in a flat on Union Grove, and the folks next door left the seven inch vinyl on auto play all night, which kind of put a damper on what I was up to next door (no more details!!!!!!). psydoll
'Use Your Illusion II' reminds me of numerous holidays with the family to Banff. Wandering around on the beach in the rain listening to that on my stereo. Ace I also remember listening to 'Experience' by Prodigy when being somewhere officialish with my mum and brothers when we were pretty young and getting into trouble for having the volume on too loud and going in a sulk when told to turn it down... Lost In Paradise
Moonchild by Iron Maiden, the first time i got really, really drunk, after the party i was asleep on the floor when i must have moved around so much that i was using the cd player remote as my pillow. The result i remember Bruce singing 'Moonchild - hear the mandrake scream' and absolutly shitting myself. Whenever i hear that song it just reminds me af that party, ah good times! jester1470
Loads, anything by Bon Jovi reminds me of my first serious girlfriend. 'Just Good Friends' by Fish is a song that reminds me of someone i love very much o thats a tough one to listen to sometimes. 'Lady in Red' by Chris DeBurgh, a very special memeory actually was dancing with my ex who I was with for years at a gig to this song, very magical. One of Jo's songs 'Zoe' reminds me of an old friend of mine and some great times. I think that songs really do become the soundtrack of your life and thats why people get so passionate about music primarily beause certain bands make you feel happy becaiuse of things you connect with them.CheersStuart
Teabags
Not realy an even but in Sutcliffe Jugend - Scene 1:The Car; Act 1:Abduction when it gets to the bit where he says "strop struggling, this means nothing, you little cunt, you slag piece of fucking shit, you aint got a fucking clue" or something along those lines, I ALWAYS think of Zak from Strobing Goat.I have no fucking idea why.
