any bands here made a music video?

My last band had a few live gigs filmed for the old Aberdeen Cable, and we once had a gig filmed at the LT by Grampian TV for our label. They were OK, but we were once approached by some company wanting to make a video for one of our songs so we agreed, but foolishly didn't even worry about seeing it before it was shown to a large crowd at The Palace. By Christ it was earth-openingly dreadful.

Best bet is filming a gig, anything else has far too much potential for extreme embarassment...

im sure the real shocks made one

correct, although none of the band actually appeared in it, it was done by a chap betamax found in scot ads and he did it for free, it was an enjoyable experience watching the process of the video being made.

We're nearly finished our video for Storyteller. Collage of live stuff and video footage with some marvellously obtuse lyrical references.

Tragically the solo we filmed on the Crags (much to the concern of the watching tourists) won't make the cut as it is more G'N'R than a daffodil in a blunderbus.

The rest of it is looking good though, very fitting. It all looks suitably melancholic if you ignore the fact that our drummer is having to ignore the fact that Craig is waving his balls at him off camera to try and put him off...

I have filmed and edited a bunch of different things over the years' date=' on my apple mac. Im not sure why using an apple macintosh computer would hinder the video's success? The fact his friend may choose to use a mac is irrelivent. I've been using Apple's Final Cut Pro for about three years now, it works just great.[/quote']

I said it would be difficult if it WASN'T an apple mac.

Mackintosh raincoats. Get it.

p.s. I realise you've deleted your post but I'm going to leave this, just to show how touchy Mac users can be.
