  1. The gold covers could easily be taken off though, couldn't they?
  2. I'd be more inclined to take a contraversial route and suggest Radiohead. Cannot stand anything they've ever done. They bore me to tears.
  3. Yeah, I switched the brightness off when I used it, and had the tone somewhere in the middle and used an OD pedal, so I could enjoy the sparkling cleans it has to offer too. It was perfect for what I needed. I can't believe it's only 30 watts. It was so loud and I barely even had it 1/3 of the way round, volume-wise. It could kill a man, or destroy a village.
  4. I'd well have this if the guitar was less cream and more white, and also if it didn't have gold hardware. I really really would have it if it wasn't for those things. GUTTING! Is it a set-neck, too??
  5. Sorry to be an arse, but may I ask why Epiphone humbuckers? Epiphone make decent standard guitars but their electrics are far and away the worst thing about them, and that probably applies for the lions share of guitars under about 500. The Gibson equivelants are pretty much cheap as hell. Failing that, Dimarzio's and Seymour Duncans go for pocket change on t'ebay.
  6. You me at Six's music is possibly worse than their own name. They all seem to look identical too. Same strange haircut. It is also far too similar to the name You Me and the Atom Bomb, which is also a terrible name, but they are an alright band. Has anyone mentioned the band called 'A' ? If not. I'm going to mention the band 'A' So here it is... A
  7. I don't think people are really that easily offended. It seems more of a case of people wanting to appear politically correct and proper by complaining. The only person who was probably offended was the victim, who I can only imagine was more miffed than anything. Still, I hate Russell Brand more than most people but I always had a fair wedge of respect for Jonathan Ross. I always thought he was a bit better than that. I don't think what he did was dispicable or devastating. Far from it. It was just a very poor playground attempt to rattle a few cages, which has made him appear child-like and a tad pathetic. Shame that. I used to quite like him.
  8. You could, but you'd be a liar. I actually can't think of a worse rock band that actually takes themselves as seriously as Incubus.
  9. And rightly so. Joe Strummer has really let The Clash go to shit since he died. What a pillock.
  10. He is right! I kept meaning to update it, but I think your "get tae fuck" does it better. Wah still for sale. I don't even know why I even own a wah. I hate wah. No exceptions. I also just realised my above post says "Cinty Centre" and it's too late to edit. I hate typos. They make me look bad.
  11. Karate Fugazi Dillinger Four Born Against None More Black The Replacements Fig 4.0. Descendents / ALL They Might Be Giants Dugong Husker Du and Braid should have probably been on there somewhere too. If it was a list of bands I've listened to most this year, the first five spots would be taken by Algernon Cadwallader. Hooked on their record.
  12. Dream Festival is a bit much. I'd probably just copy and paste the list of artists from Winamp or something. Job's a good 'un.
  13. Or the dream line-up thread where you name who'd you'd have in your fantasy band. Those are great threads.
  14. I think Gabba is the really fast nonsensical stuff which is almost just noise. Like if UK hip hop went to the extremes of grindcore. It's pretty terrible either way After looking into it, dance music with chipmunk vocals is called "Niche" aparrently. It's always played on buses. The drivers need to clamp down on it because the volumes are just getting ridiculous. Either that, or a global ban on mobile phones that can play music out loud.
  15. They did seem to disappear for a long time though. Either that, or just no one was bothered about them anymore.
  16. I thought people went nuts for Hundred Reasons? I liked the first album a long time ago, but the second one was horrible. I went to see them and they weren't very good. Sounded very mashed up abd blurred. Bad sound - probably not their fault. I purely went because Twofold were supporting though, but that was when Twofold were trying to transform into some kind of horrible trendy garage-rock band with matching outfits and keyboards through distortion pedals. That was a sad time.
  17. I hate Muse. I've said I hate alot of things this morning, but I really do hate Muse.
  18. As has been said, you'd be daft to give up a permanent job with the current state of affairs, for the sake of convenience. A quick fix would be agencies, but temp work is so unreliable and you are absolutely fucked if they decide to end your contract early, which they can. My job at the Sheriff Court was axed with absolutely NO NOTICE whatsoever, even though it was "temp to perm" and I'd been there for 4 months without a single sick day or even a clerical error. Friday at half past four, I was taken to one side to be told I was finished and I was thanked for my service. I was mortified. Temping's just not worth it. At least stick with your current job til you find something permanent and actually get offered the job. But you'd be daft to leave cold turkey just because of commuting. Especially with how easy it is to get to Dyce from town.
  19. I have no idea where I'm supposedly going, although the last time I had a drip of alcohol in me I felt like I was going to hurl chunks. Hopefully, if this happens, I'll spray it in the direction on someone who has taken far too long on their outfit.
  20. My post wasn't a "I've seen a cheaper" dig. It was more of a "The chap who got it for 500 bin lids is a flukey bastard and I want him dead" as prices like that just don't happen. On the very same forum, someone was selling a Mesa cab for 500 bricks n'all. In the space of a week, someone could have gotten a Mesa half stack for bang on a grand pretty much. MAD WORLD!
  21. That is fair enough, but did anyone who wasn't a female under 15 actually like Incubus? Take away the fact that the guy likes to take his shirt off wherever possible (even when crooning to acoustic songs) and you've got a pretty terrible radio-rock band. God, I hated Incubus.
  22. Grind about horror films and killing folk. Seems pretty legit for a genre. A genre I don't understand is Grime, and all that Council Estate garbage. And that dance music with the chipmunk vocals. It's always the people with the most hurrendous tastes in music that feel the need to publically air it.
  23. I was actually wrong, they are called Regurgitate, but have been around for 18 years. Regurgitate (band - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)
  24. That category is spearheaded by The Wombats. Easily.
