  1. If you can't figure out how to turn on a tube amp, then you should probably learn a different instrument. The amps at Toms are shit. The amps at MV are superb. I don't think that's even opinion. It's just true.
  2. I'd also like to know of a laptop under 300 bin lids which would be able to run Photoshop or a windows GarageBand equivelant without setting on fire. Mac's look nice but are too expensive and they are white. I can't own white things because I'd probably spill some bastard food on it.
  3. White pudding? Pasta in a Pie? King Ribs? What the fuck is wrong with you? The only things that should be on the menu are Fish, Chips and a useless plastic fork. Maybe a battered jumbo sausage, as a side, not a replacement for the fish. Savages. I haven't had a great fish and chips since I was in Scarborough a few years ago. the fish had probably only been out of the water 15 minutes. To say Aberdeen is a seaside city, the fish doesn't taste as fresh as it should. And it's more expensive. Three quid for a chippy tea in Scarborough.

I thought it was gonna be tits and that, but it just doesn't work.
  5. I just got the new Bridge&Tunnel record, East/West. Haven't listened to it yet despite being after it for ages. Bogus.
  6. Fair enough. Go buy Pro Evo and enjoy your rigid, lifeless, japanese arcade football where the players run like robots. Even more robotic in the North East London versus Highbury Reds derby. A classic match!
  7. It looks better than 2008, that's for sure. The gameplay will still be too rigid and stiff for it to be as fluid as Fifa though
  8. Never properly enjoyed Pro Evo myself. It seems too rigid and flat. It's very arcade-y and often comes across like a glorified Virtua Striker from the Dreamcast. PES4 is a good fun game to play with friends, but there's no longevity in the single player mode, so it's pretty boring. The PES games after No.4 were so badly put together, the gameplay was just terrible. PES08 being the worst by miles. Also, there's no Sheffield Wednesday on Pro Evo, so it can get to fuck. Anyway, this thread is about Fifa. Not International Soccerstar Big Match Supergoals Deluxe XVII.
  9. Out Tomorrow! Exciting times, especially since the PES series hasn't released a good version since PES4 and the last PES installment was quite shambolic. Man, I love Fifa. Looking forward to the Be A Pro Career mode. I hope it's a mode they keep on improving instead of ditching like they did with the 5-a-side mode on Fifa 97/98. That was ace, and despite a tiny goal mouth, it was still piss easy to score. FOOTBALL!
  10. I'd say so. Afterall, The top half of the Coca-Cola Championship is probably on a level pegging with the SPL in terms of quality.
  11. Hell yes, to all of that. My favourite TV show in a long time. Tobias: I mean, look at me- Im an actor. An actor, for crying out loud! You know how much rejection I face every day? But in this business of show, you have to have the heart of an angel and the hide... of an elephant. Lindsay: But youve never actually had an audition. Tobias: .........Well... excuuuuuusse me! ...Excuse me.
  12. The only possible good to come from this 'comeback' is that it will spotlight the band 'Airbourne' for the horrific, unforgivable frauds that they are. I don't care for ACDC. Sure, he can shred with little innovation, but there's only so many times you can play E, A and D without boring the piss out of everyone.
  13. Aalborg were kept quiet last night by United posession, but the attacking oppertunities they had were dangerous. I reckon Aalborg have more than enough of a chance of twatting Celtic at home. Villareal could go either way but I can't see Celtic even scoring against a full strength United.
  14. Well, if they come third in the group, which they really should do at the very least, they'll extend their campaign in the UEFA. Gordon Strachan doesn't strike me as the type to piss and moan about playing too many games though, so maybe they could keep up their league form too.
  15. The Champions League is ace. United's Rafael looks like a bright spark, although right back might not be his natural born position as he was more of an attacking midfielder last night. Pulled off some great shots and runs, but was caught out of position alot and his tackling was sloppy. United are down a few central midfielders due to injury, so stick that kid in the middle. He'll run with it and never stop. Although with Carrick and Scholes out and Hargreaves getting injured everytime he ties the laces on his boots, there's no ball retention in the midfield.... John O'Shea is shit! At least Celtic lost. The Champions League acts as a nice reminder that neither of the old firm sides are really any good.
  16. Balls to that. Maeby should be with STEVE HOLT. A real man. I am a big fan of catchphrases being the persons name. Like Will Ferrells SNL sketches of Robert Goulet. GOULET!
  17. Buy yourself a right bastard of a sound system and go to town.
  18. "I'm having a love affair with this ice-cream sandwich"
  19. Is it on wax or plastic? I don't have a turntable up here yet. I totally lose.
  20. I agree, although George Michael is also very good too. Anything involving Gob's chicken dance is fantastic.
  21. Not sure anyone here cares about the second tier of English football, but my god. Wade Small's darting run though the whole defence to smash in an equaliser against Charlton was sensational. I'm starting to think we just might not get relegated and go into administration afterall. if Wade stays fit, and Jeffers eventually finds form, we could easily push for a playoff spot. Obviously, if we did hit Premier League status, everyone would forget all about "doing a Derby". It'd be renamed to doing a 'Wednesday', by ending the season on zero points and a goal difference into the negative hundreds. Come on!
  22. I haven't seen anyone mention Arrested Development on here, which is strange, as I think every forum I frequent, someone has an avatar of Gob throwing a dead bird into the sea. It's a crying shame it got cancelled, but I'm led to believe the final installment of AD will be in the form of a film, which has already began production? Hopefully it won't seem slightly pale in comparison to the series like Serenity did to Firefly. I think Season 2 is the most consistent, but my favourite moment is when Tobias goes for the audition for the Fire Sale commercial. "I think I made the fire a little too real for them"
  23. I got the new Dillinger Four record the other day. My interest in punk rock has been swiftly waning this year, but this record is pretty solid and almost worthy of the long wait since the last one. The latest Tubers record has been sitting in some record shop in Manchester, being forgotten to be posted out to me for the past millions of years. Eventually it will get here. Some day. I'm itching to hear it.
