  1. Think I've only ever been once. Scratch Perverts in 2006. Twas an awesome night. And can I ask who made the most ridiculous suggestion to turn it into a hotel?!?! Who in their right mind would want to stay there?!!!!
  2. yeah, they're pretty good. saw them support twin atlantic in king tuts! top notch i say.
  3. Well, yes we do. And it's very popular with a certain sector of our society. I however have refrained.
  4. its a lovely video, it makes perfect sense. it makes me miss Glasgow. even though it's not exactly pleasant sights!
  5. I am a social worker in training... thats just our fancy title for student! lol. and I also sell smelly stuff in Boots!
  6. gutted that i have no pennies to go to this! =[
  7. Haha. More than likely... And it was most probably on the front page... When there are waaaaaaaaaay more important stories that could be there!!
  8. This is true, but the other venues are 'in town' so its easier to see whats going on. Moshulu... nobody walks past it, so even if there were posters on the door on in Bassment's windows it wouldn't make a difference. Thats all. To take your 'shouting from the rooftops' literally... maybe that's a good idea. Could be amusing and people would probably stop and take note... Promotion should be creative and not just the usual poster in the chippy!
  9. She looked really uncomfortable. I dont particularly like her, but if you didn't look at the screen it didn't sound so bad. Although I suppose we should be giving her credit for having a go... Altho saying it was for her husband.... Not so good - he's the problem! lol. The Brits is such a hype over nothing. It is a fix!
  10. I think this should be perhaps directed at the supermassive company who decided to buy into Moshulu. I hardly ever ever see posters outside of Moshulu for gigs in Moshulu, which is a tad stupid since I'm sure there's plenty people who have never been to a club night (they prob don't want their feet sticking to the floor). I'm sure there's plenty I've missed and if it wasn't for forums like this where people are actually discussing the gigs then I wouldn't know. So when the promoter doesn't do their job it kinda falls to the band to at least ensure that their fans know about the gigs!! It's not difficult to spend a Saturday afternoon sticking posters in windows around town!
  11. does it really matter how people stand or act... unless they're being drunken losers? i'd stand with my arms crossed because its comfortable. surely if the people are there and they're enjoying it then how they stand doesn't matter!!!
  12. most people would go to a gig because they enjoy live music. and yes ive been to gigs purely to support my friends... even if i dont like them!! yes it would be nice to read in the newspaper this band is playing here and here and this is why... we all love a dramatic story, the only reason why it would make the papers. however this is not going to happen. so its down to bands, promoters and people who support them to get the word out. and if they're good enough and they have the determination they'll make it, if they're dont appeal they wont. simple as. how many average indie bands do we see some and go all the time. that down to major promoting and a little bit of help from NME.
  13. I await to be entertained in the next installment... Reading this thread has been highly enjoyable. One thing it does mean is that everyone who posts has a passion about music one way or another!! =]
  14. you don't have to see a band to have an opinion. just a brief listen on myspace is enough for me to know whether i like something or not. and i must state that i am not making any suggestions over whether i like erotic fire or not... i haven't listened to them. just because people don't like erotic fire doesn't mean you have to try and force them! as far as i can see the point of this thread is not about erotic fire, but how they got themselves in the paper. personally i sometimes think that it's up to the individual person to search out the gigs they want to go and see. makes it fun!! especially little gigs with only 10 people when you know that the band could do potentially good things!! =]
  15. I am aware that its obviously not in the literal sense. I meant, why put yourself through the pain of feeling like your ears are bleeding... Each to their own, but I'd rather keep my hearing for a bit longer if I can.
  16. Why would anyone want to listen to something that makes their ears bleed anyway?! That's beyond me...
  17. yes... a slightly dull crowd. altho it was amusing to watch the bopping heads whilst standing at one of the poles.
  18. I don't get the whole 'chat' whilst an artist is on stage. It's just plain annoying!!!
  19. haha. you just never know! *fingers crossed for you*
  20. You were misinformed, your sources are usually correct!! I am shocked Stephen!!
  21. Hahahaha. Lets hope they don't read that and chase you down Belmont Street... Or perhaps after that comment the Your Fears/Conspire regieme won't fit through the door... I joke of course...
