Scott Brown was an absolute beast when he didn't have to mark anyone at set-pieces. I thought he had a brilliant game. Whittaker concerns me. I think if we'd started with Mulgrew or even Danny Fox at left-back, there'd be a wee bit more pace there. Not saying much more, but enough to maybe force Walcott into tighter angles. Still, Strachan's made some difference. Christ knows how bad that could've been under Levein or Burley.

Swap Pauliinho with Dembele and you've got yourself a team. I would still play Assou-Ekotto though, purely because Vertonghen is so effective on both ends of the park in that central defensive position. Also, BAE's link-up play with Bale was excellent at times.

Maybe it's my own selective experiences but I've only heard the term "females" negatively, like "these females" or "look at they females" or something. It sounds jarring.
