  1. A Pizza Hut on Union Street? God, I wish I could remember that...
  2. Petite Noir's EP released at the start of the year was brilliant and now he's got a full album out. It is great. I missed him in Glasgow last night due to being Johnny Nae-Cash but the new one sounds like it'd be massive live. Spotify.
  3. On the other side of the coin, the abuse she receives might increase during the periods where they're more active, have a new album coming out, get more radio play, etc etc so she'll be called upon to talk about it more during those times. Vicious circle.
  4. You say that, but it's also home to the shop where you buy all your clothes...
  5. Dae it. Utrecht is beautiful and basically a mini version of Amsterdam minus the red light district and British people on stag weekends.
  6. Surprise Surprise http://www.theguardian.com/culture/2015/aug/02/cilla-black-dies-aged-72
  7. Sake. Did they get him?
  8. I saw this in Berlin last year and thought about buying it but didn't. Biggest regret ever.
  9. Rock School was Channel 4. Get back to Poland, Polander.

    Your current read?

Was that the one where the author decides to take on the task of tracking down and speaking to every single former member of the Fall?

    Your current read?

I'd recommend 'Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World' as I read it this year and it's ace, despite the crap title. Have always meant to read more Murakami but it's just never happened. Just finished 'Oracle Night' by Paul Auster. Classic Auster story-within-a-story-within-a-story stuff. Really great, though, engaging and bleak as fuck.
  12. Oh crap. But, on the other hand, 24 hour Daily Show...
  13. I spent most of Sunday having a binge-watch of every Daily Show episode Jon Stewart has done. Well, almost. In a turn of ace-ic events, Comedy Central is showing a FORTY-TWO DAY STREAM of episodes starting from his first in 1999. It started just over a week ago and it has been so enjoyable to dip in and out of them when I've got nothing better to do. If you live in Poland or have Hola Polish Unblocker, get on this: http://www.cc.com/events/month-of-zen/live.html
  14. I only found out yesterday that this guy is in the band: https://youtu.be/9A4UGtM4hDQ Glorious.
  15. A bunch of angry boys and girls wrote a bunch of angry songs and they're great. 8/10
  16. Yeah, there's just upstairs and downstairs at the Music Hall. It looks like there are still stalls available directly from the APA site - http://www.aberdeenperformingarts.com/events/bullet-for-my-valentine
  17. I maybe mis-read your post. Basically at the Music Hall, balcony and stalls are your only option, as opposed to HMT where you've the stalls, dress circle and upper circle. Stalls just means the dancefloor/on the same level as the stage, so not raised. Sometimes there are seats but for bands like Bullet For My Valentine, I think it'll just be standing because people will want to move around.
  18. I saw that you were in Edinburgh, too, and was sad to miss out on a potential stalk. Aberdeen is nae bad though, eh? I miss it now I don't live there but still struggle when people say "Hey! I'm going to Aberdeen for a few days, what should I do?" because all I can think of is going to Stonehaven/Dunnottar or waiting 'til night time and go to a gig.
  19. Old news, Cool T! I'm not sure I like this "clean" and "Okay to use the bathroom in" direction that the Moorings is going.
  20. Forgot to excitedly post about the new Yo La Tengo album due out at the end of August and a date in Glasgow. http://www.brooklynvegan.com/archives/2015/06/yo_la_tengo_rel_4.html Mac DeMarco also has a 'mini LP' out in August.
