Straight Edge refers to a lifestyle that started within the hardcore punk subculture whose adherents make a lifetime commitment to refrain from drinking alcohol, using tobacco products, and using recreational drugs. I can set up basses for all sorts of tuning and get it spot on, as for setting up amps and such, should really learn how to do it yourself...

I do prefer the Gh3 guitar to the Rockband one and by the look of things the GH:WT instruments do look alot better but I have read several reviews which say the guitar is too big and the slider isn't very sensitive and the drums are weak... is this true?

Fair enough thats cool then as a friend of mine also won a competition winning an ipod and it was faulty, only to recieve another faulty one upon returning it. I can pick up one myself for 120 from work but we don't have any in so thought I would jump at the oppertunity incase he wants cash in his pocket rather than my well earned money going back into the business minus the discount.

So Musicians of Aberdeen, what is your game of choice? Personnaly I havn't tried out either of these yet as I am making my way through many other titles but the time will come when a decision must be made. I am leaning more towards Rock Band 2 for overall performance, gameplay, presentation, and longevity. Guitar Heroes only plus points for me only come in actual song choices as the instruments are pap. Tool for example have 3 tracks featured on the game aswell as a multiple list of songs featured on both games. What would you recommend?

For me visually it's appealing. That's always a bonus ofcourse its when you get down to the new features of the technical sort. For a start, its faster and not just the interface but also the loading times on the marketplace. The idea of installing games is great but lets face it; it's more of a novelty as you still need the disc to play. The avatars are nothing more than a visual addity but hopefully as time goes on there will be more games available for their use. Personally for me I was looking forward to the ability of deleting games from your gamerscore as I had several with 0gs thus lowering my % of games completion in total. I did have 43510/57890 I now have a score of 43770 with finishing off fallout 3 for the full 1000 tonight and low and behold I can't even see what my gamerscore could be anymore. Balls. Hopefully going to be on target for 50k gs by the end of the year if all goes to plan...

New dashboard is out on the 19th - will require around 300MB and its required because youwon't be able to play on Live without. Microsoft are giving memory cards away for free, you have to go to xbox.com and sign up there and also register your consoles serial number if you havn't already. 20GB harddrives will be made a hell of alot cheaper - 20 I believe so to the OP - I would wait until next wednesday before getting a new harddrive if the prices dont come down before then... which they should... :S

This will be Alex's last gig with us so it's going to be a packed and probably mental show. Time to get crunk. Looking forward to it.
