  1. Lindt chocolate utterly wipes Cadbury's. There's also this dark chocolate you can get that is filled with a thin layer of raspberry, can't remember what it's called though. Cote d'Noire or something possibly? Anyway, I think it's amazing.
  2. Fifa 10 tells me that Liverpool have signed Maxi on a free. If it tells the truth that's a very good deal.
  3. Saw Porcupine Tree perform the whole first disc of The Incident album in Glasgow a couple of weeks ago. It was amazing, and I didn't even have that album at the time, needless to say I got a copy the next day.
  4. Watching pato and arshavin combine every week on MOTD would almost make it worth it.
  5. What with being a bit of a Milan fan, I'm praying that they sign Aguero, if they get him then signing Pato would be the most pointless thing ever. Even more pointless than Man City signing every striker in the world, again, which is still entirely possible.
  6. Pato is quickly becoming one of the top strikers in the world imo. Some of his goals this season have been brilliant, excellent touch, awareness and skill. Can also whack them in from range, which is nice.
  7. If Milan play to their best and Man U are a bit off, then they could probably edge it, I don't fancy it though. Same goes for Inter vs Chelsea, on paper they are very well matched, Inter just don't seem to click in the CL for some reason. Arsenal will beat Porto, I fancy both Real and Barca to get through. Pretty sure Bordeaux will beat Olympiakos. Bayern vs Fiorentina is an interesting one, not sure what will happen there, same goes for CSKA and Sevilla.
  8. In fairness, for 65 quid you aren't getting anything much better. Sure, line 6's are far, far, far, far from being the best amps in the world. But if you're young, and can't afford the luxury of a valve Mesa, Marshall, Engl, Fender or whatever, then it'll do the job for you. It'd be fine for someone in a metal band who isn't prepared to spend 300-400 quid plus whatever for a cab on a Marshall DSL or similar.
  9. Thought's on the Champ's League draw? Chelski vs Inter Man U vs Milan Arsenal vs Porto Real vs Lyon Barca vs Stuttgart Bayern vs Fiorentina CSKA vs Sevilla Bordeaux vs Olympiakos
  10. I've got an SVT CL and it's a great all round amp. I would recommend trying EBS though, I've never heard it but Droid knows what he is talking about. I've heard good things about the Mesa too, but never heard one in action.
  11. I've been out of touch with Bayern Munich's squad and general play this season, can someone tell me when Butt became their first choice penalty taker? o_O
  12. SM57 or Beta 57 if you are willing to spend a bit more. I've heard good thing about Sennheiser mics too, but I know sod all about their range so can't recommend any particular model.
  13. I probably sounded overly aggressive in that post, was half 2 in the morning after all. Sorry about that and thanks for wishing us luck!
  14. I posted the other day, on this very page, saying we have been around for a while. If you want specifics then we have been gigging since June 2006 as a band that resembles what we are now. Changed a guitar player last August/September time. So we are far from newcomers to the Aberdeen music scene as a whole. But, like I said in my earlier post, it must be because we are new to Fudge that we are up for this award. Stands to reason that he can't nominate us for something if he hasn't seen us at a gig.
  15. Can Ireland not just get over it? Yes, it was handball, yes, the ref must've either been blind or bought. But there was still time for France to score again, and even if they hadn't, who's to say that Ireland would have won on pens. They were hard done by, but now the FAI are just looking like pissy little children throwing a tantrum because their big brother cheated in a board game. Suck it up lads.
  16. I'm assuming this is the case, as we have been around for a while now, but only played our first Fudgenight in September.
  17. Thanks for the nomination Fudge! I've voted for Semperfi.
  18. Air is free at all Town & County owned Shell stations. These are: Gordon (Beside the Haudigain) Don Propeller (In Bucksburn) Cocket Hat Wellington Redmoss Airport and Kieth (if you happen to be out that way).
  19. I somehow forgot Lagavulin, it's excellent too.
  20. I've never had a proper look, but Peckhams on Union St look like they stock loads and loads of Whisky's. Personal favourites are Macallan, Balvenie and Laphroig but I'm guessing they all come under "mainstream". I'm not sure if it's technically a single malt, or even a whisky, but Jack Daniels do this single barrel reserve (possibly not called this, but along these lines) that I'm a big fan of, but not seen it anywhere except duty free in airports.
  21. Blade Trilogy, though the third one is weaker than the first 2 imo. Ryan Reynolds does dish out the worlds greatest insult however, which nearly brings it on par. Those films are the real reason Wesley Snipes went to jail, he got locked up for being too badass...
  22. KimyReizeger: The labels and names of the beer didn't attract me to brew dog. The first brew dog beers I had were straight from the brewery and didn't even have labels on them. I liked the taste so continued to buy them afterwards. Also, you can't compare Brewdog products to Super T and that kinda crap. That's like comparing a single malt whisky which costs 30 quid a bottle to tesco value stuff which costs about a tenner. Your pissheads and kids looking to get drunk will go for the cheap shit, not the expensive, finer product. They are not even close to being the same thing. With regards to your comments about Tokyo in particular. Me and a few friends had a bottle each the other night to see how it tastes, the conclusion was good, but we would have been unable to drink more than one bottle. It's a very, very heavy stout which isn't easy to drink. So I doubt the youngsters whom you claim it is marketed towards would go back to it even if they did try it.
  23. The strength (I assume you are referring to the ABV here) has absolutely no influence on my choice to drink Brewdog products and I don't overly identify with their "values". I just like how most of their products taste and the one time I've been to the brewery the brewer I dealt with was very friendly and provided me with a hefty discount on a case of beer. Treating customers well is a good way to keep them. I have not seen any of the "marketing spin" Brewdog has produced, actually I'm oblivious to it's existence, so that has had no say in my choice of their product over others. Also the average ABV of their beers is around 7.6% (I included Nanny State in this), so overall they're not that irresponsible as a company.
  24. No, the fact people (myself included) think their beer tastes good is a reason to drink it. The fact it is good beer probably contributes to the success they are having.
  25. I'm not sure, didn't really pay much attention to anything other than their unlocking service. Pretty sure the one on king st does phone repairs though, might include iPhones.
