Can they nae just go for a kickabout, play xbox and order pizza like I did......and still do with my spare time.

I'm thinking the people doing this are paying to get in during the day, rather than busting in at night. In which case their only options would be more staff wondering around, CCTV or an army of Terminators which are tripped when damage is done to the models. None of these are financially viable for them I'm guessing.

Oh, I very much agree. It's sad to see somewhere like that being treated like shit by chav arseholes (it is gonna be chavs). Any realistic ideas as to how they could protect it? I imagine CCTV for the entire park was cost heaps. I'm also surprised I never heard about that story. I've heard they ain't too cheerful, apparently they have piss poor reliability. Though I've also heard for the brief time they do work they sound fantastic for the money. Can't remember where I heard about the reliability issues though, was either on here or through a friend who frequents the Harmony Central forums. I would second any shouts of DSL 50. I would also say that the Blackstar HT5 mini stack kinda thing would be worth a look. It is pretty small, and only 5 watt. But the piddly power rating combined with it being all valve means that when it is turned up to 11 (which it would more or less need to be for gigs) it is both loud enough and sounds ace coz the valves are being majorly driven.

I use standard gauge (.45) DR Hi Beams normally, but they were out of stock in Bruce Millers last time I re-strung so I got Lo-Riders instead. Kinda prefer the Hi Beams, they are a bit brighter, last a bit longer and are easier to play straight away. Would recommend them though, I used Rotosound for ages but DR's made a massive difference to the sound of my bass imo, far nicer strings.

I got one a couple of years back, traded it in last year against my mates PRS (he payed me back the cash). I dunno, it wasn't that great tbh. I have since discovered that Leo Fender's earlier designs are more for me. I have played ones in shops that were nicer than mine though, so perhaps my one was just a bad example. If you really want one, definitely try the one you like in a shop before buying, don't buy online.

No denying that, though tonight he seemed to be on a bit of a self gratification bender, which makes him an even bigger cockmunch than I previously thought. As for everyone else in the match, Messi, Iniesta and Xavi all massively outshone anyone in a Man U shirt by playing some of the best possession football I've seen. If Ronaldo had taken a leaf out of their book by passing it to players in better positions rather than shooting from daft ranges and angles then tonight may have been more of a contest than it was. Well done Barca for teaching a very good (but pretty ordinary tonight) United side a lesson in football. Was annoying to see Carles Puyol being a bit of an arse and diving quite badly, though it was amusing to see the worlds biggest diver (Ronaldo) ridiculing him when he went down and stayed down. The makeshift Barca defense did a pretty good job, Pique was particularly impressive.

Reasons I want Barca to win: 1. Ronaldo is a cockmunch 2. Barca play nicer football (imo) 3. Ronaldo is a severe cockmunch 4. Fed up of all this "OMGWTFBBQ DER ENGLISH TEAMS ARE TEH BESTEST EVORZZZ!" from the media. It probably is true, but we don't need to be told on a daily basis. 5. Ronaldo is the biggest cockmunch that ever lived 6. I'm a bit of a Milan supporter, and I like the fact that they are the last to win back to back European cups.

My fave series are: DS9 (Truly epic storytelling and some great characters) TOS (Just coz) VOY (pish plots, but it was on telly when I turned old enough to understand Trek, and Robert Picardo as the doctor was fuckin' ace) TNG (Better than Voyager, but as I was about 5 when it ended, I haven't seen much of it even though it is repeated on TV constantly) Enterprise sucks, it's nae Star Trek, it needs to fuck off and die. I loved the new film, thought the casting was perfect (Karl Urban as McCoy was awesome). The whole time travel so we can do what we want without pissing off trekkies was an ace idea too. All in all, looking forward to the next film and hoping Abrams can do a new series (set in established trek universe but after Voyager chronologically) once he is finished with Lost. We are due a new TV series after all.

I'm not trying to say he had a team that played lively exciting football week in week out. Most of it was utter dross. But football is a results business, and he got them. We can't expect Aberdeen to play like Barcelona or Arsenal. If we try to play open, passing, attacking football we will lose the ball and get ripped apart. We quite frankly don't have players with the technical ability to play constant attractive football (Aluko has potential, but he isn't there yet). I'd rather we played boring football and got points than pretended we had a team of Kaka's and Messi's and get relegated. Falkirk tried that and almost payed the price for it.

Firstly, fair point, my bad, But still, not exactly great is it? Secondly, given how we were playing that season, I'm not convinced we would have won the play off. And still, WE FINISHED BOTTOM OF THE LEAGUE!!! I mean Jesus fucking Christ, surely Jimmy has to be held in higher regard than Ebbe. Oh, wait, no, he is from Govan! Of course, lets hate a manager who has done better for us than almost anyone since Alex Ferguson purely because he is a Rangers man who occasionally has cup slip ups and doesn't play the most exciting open football (with below par players he has bought with the naff all money he is given to spend) in order to maintain vague consistency in results!! I was a big fan of Calderwood, he took us from annual relegation battles to consistent top six and occasional Europe in next to no time. He has made daft decisions like constantly picking Mackie, playing Severin at centre half etc. He has had some truly dire cup results. But were you honestly happier when Ebbe took us to 2 cup finals in the same season and we only avoided relegation through sheer luck? Also, who are we going to replace Calderwood with? Eric Black has done nothing special. McGee had one good season at 'Well, has just had a crap one. He is still unproven. I would take Duncan Ferguson as he has done a stonking job at Peterborough, but apparently we can't have him. So unless there is some magical mysterious manager no one knows of that has recently managed to take an average squad of players into Europe (and perform admirably) and kept them constantly competing for good places in their league, then yes, I would far, far, far rather have Jimmy.

I have some really, really, really shit quality live ones with my band. Literally a wee digital recording box with an inbuilt mic in the middle of our practice space. I believe the bass used was an Ibanez SR200 with the bass player using fingers. The ones of me with my band are about 50/50 fingers and pick and using a Fender American Standard Jazz Bass. Never heard one myself but loads of people over on the Talk Bass forums use and rave about them. EBS are also well worth a look. I've got an Ampeg SVT Classic and wouldn't swap it for anything.
