  1. The Ride post reminded me of Hurricane #1. Did they have more than one album? Hear'say lmao. The Outhere Brothers? Who remembers them? Wireless? (90's Manc band) Probably all of them are wrong but it's all I could think of.
  2. To be completely honest, I've never heard it but Ride were a fucking amazing band. Carnival of Light is one of my all time favourites and Andy Bell's talents are wasted in Oasis. He's a better guitarist than Noel and Gem and a better singer than Liam by miles.
  3. I worked for a telesales company for about 2 weeks when I was 16. We were just handed a page that the supervisor had previously ripped out of a phone book. I used to laugh for hours at some of the responses I got. "Fuck off, I'm having my tea" was a good one.
  4. Apparently he got the sack because the last time he reached a semi he got jailed.
  5. Will kinda suck not even being able to have a quick ciggy in the dressing room before a gig. Forcing people to go outside for a smoke will only bring town to a stand still at weekends and surely folk are still going to be "passive smoking" if they are walking past a nightclub which has 30 odd folk all standing outside having a smoke.
  6. Would be cool if you could download a podcast of the show. I miss it every week and then think "Shit, I was going to listen to The Sunday Session last night".
  7. That sucks big time. I remember a few years back, when Liquid opened and i went on a works' do at the opening night, My mate had just bought a jacket that day which cost him just short of £200 as a few nights before he had his jacket nicked when he was out. So anyway, he decides he's gonna keep his new jacket on because he didn't want to lose it. But one of the bouncers told him to take it off and he said no, and explained to the bouncer that he only just bought it because his last one was stolen in a club. He was then ejected from Liquid and so was I for defending him.
  8. That pic's ace. I found it yesterday and set it as my wallpaper.
  9. Try recording it off the tv with your phone and upload the WAV file to pc.
  10. That's fucked up. I lived there for 6 months when I was about 10.
  11.
  12. Why did you post an article about him being jailed about 4 years ago?
  13. Apparently they were going to present the honour to someone else, Iggy Pop I think but they claimed it would've been to expensive so they gave it to Ian Brown.
  14. Yep I'd say you won. Like you said, if he'd placed his cue on the table then that's a forfeit - as is removing balls from the pockets and placing them on the table. If he had placed his cue on the table and the cue ball was to roll along side it and end up in the pocket then that wouldn't be your fault so if he's placing balls on the table then surely the same rule should apply.
  15. Agreed. And my vote for most punchable goes to cloud even though he isn't on the shortlist.
  16. Because it will be a community stadium which will be used for more than just football but AFC would be the main tenants and would rent it from the council. As the landlord, it would be up to the council to pay for maintenance, not AFC.
  17. Maybe, but he's still one of the most idolised and respected men of his generation.
  18. Oops, sorry. Here it is: http://www.petitiononline.com/afctrust/petition.html
  19. Hah, if you work in a strip joint then you'll probably know my brother very well:laughing: He goes to all of 'em. Him and his mates go out dressed up in designer suits, drinking bottles of champagne and sometimes even get a ride off the manky tarts. (Well not all of them are manky) One night he ended up going home to Dundee with a stripper an had to pay a taxi home. Oh to have that kind of money to throw around:rolleyes: He took me out with them for my birthday and went to Angels. One stripper started turning on the patter with me (as they do) until she finally got round to the inevitable question, "would you like a dance?" To which I replied "sorry love, but I have 2 left feet"
  20. AFC Trust feel strongly that is in the interests of both Aberdeen Football Club and the wider North-East community that a community stadium facility and associated sporting excellence centre is created in the city. To try to ensure our elected representatives understand the level of backing for this amongst North-East people, the trust has started an online petition (accessed from the link below) and also created lobbying letters which can be sent to individual councillors. The Trust calls for Aberdeen City Councillors to put aside party differences and find a way to move forward quickly with plans to construct a community facility the whole of the North East - and indeed Scotland - can be proud of. Please sign the online petition by clicking on the link below, and also please download the appropriate letter for your own city councillor/Council Leader/Lord Provost from the AFC Trust web site (www.afctrust.com), sign it and send it to them to show how important it is to us all! 21. http://www.channel4.com/life/microsites/G/gayometer/gayometer.html I got 16%. Way too straight for these modern times, apparently.
