I've been drumming for almost 2 years now, and I've never had this problem, and I hope I never do, but I probably will. But anyway, I've seen remedies for this sort of thing being mentioned on various forums, etc. but will all obviously affect the way your cymbal sounds, meaning that it's just better to buy a whole new cymbal. (Unless of course you want your cymbals to sound crap, but I doubt anyone does) =p

Playing in Drakes was good, as was watching. It was small, which made it really cool. It gives the band some sort of "intimacy" with the crowd, and vice versa, if you know what I mean. It's no good having a big area with a small crowd scattered around the back somewhere.

It was a good gig, yeah. I was impressed by the second support band, their name escapes me. It was f______ wire I think. Anyone remember what the f word was? Anyway, Mascara Story - music was good, until the dude started singing. Just can't get into that emo style of singing.

That happened at the co-op in Aboyne (where I work) one night. It happened like between 6pm-10pm on the Wednesday night, and no-one discovered it until Thursday morning. It's just minky.
