  1. I think I may have Altered Beast (or whatever it's called) and Streets of Rage 2 kicking about if you're interested? I'll need to have a look when I get home though - my things tend to go missing.
  2. When the Tencious D movie came out I could end up with the song from the showdown with the Devil stuck in my head for about a week. It was usually after hearing it drunkenly on a Friday, and it'd just get out of my head on Thurs and then I'd hear it on Fri again. "I'm the Devil, I love metal!" Good times. EDIT: How annoying is it getting a song stuck in your head and you only know the first line of the chorus, so you constantly keep singing that one line and that's all you can do?
  3. You had me right up until the RT bit. I needs my block in MK vs DC.
  4. 'mon the Ruin! I'm looking forward to seeing Downfall - haven't seem them play in a while and last time they were pretty decent. Also wouldn't mind seeing a full Thrashist set.
  5. I mean the ongoing series, issues 1 - 48 I think it was. Might of been missing an issue or two here of there, but it was almost all there. I think Hurwitz is doing an alright job following up Ennis though - it's not ground-breaking or anything, but it's solid. Aye, Warzone or something? That's going on my pull list, no doubts.
  6. Seriously?! How could something like that slip past my radar?! I should prob start reading the newsletter. And I agree, but sometimes Mike does a back issue sale which can be up to 50% off, which is pretty badass! I think that's only like once or twice a year though. Also, try eBay - sometimes you can get entire runs being sold for decent prices. I missed out on Ennis' Punisher Max for about 30. I was gutted - if I had more money at the time those babies would've be mine!
  7. TPB and the hardcovers can be quite expensive - investigate if hunting down the issues is cheaper Especially if you get to some of the sales on back issues at Asylum. I've spent and saved stupid amounts of money in that place!
  8. Well, to be fair, we recorded a song and thought the guitar sounded gash, so we went and played about with the settings (engineer included) and then in the studio it sounded pretty fucking beefy. Once we got it home that beef seemed to have gone off - probably should have wrapped it in tin-foil and put it in the fridge. So what happened in between I don't actually know. Ach well, "My baby all gone..." still makes me chuckle quietly inside at least. Heh.
  9. Oh, and no bashing of Tom's please - for the money, I think they do a really decent job and there was rarely a dull moment during the recording process (although I was reading Secret Invasion at the time *SPOILER WARNING* Hank Pym?! A fucking Skrull?! What the fudge?! Oh, and we got a Gatecrasher - he loves a party!)
  10. I dunno if Chi's said, but he's had the songs remixed a bit to try and tone the guitar down a bit. I dunno if it makes it worth checking out again - it's nothing drastic, but I think it makes it sound a little more together. As Scott (guitarist) said, it sounded better in the studio and then we got it home and listened and thought "Hmm...something not quite right there." We're working on our sound though, I'm fairly certain most bands don't just hook up and then alluvasudden have everything nailed. Also, I agree we need to tighten up a wee bit - before we went into record we could hammer out any song without any problem but I think on the day there was a little studio virginity setting in a wee bit. It is just a demo, sure some demo's end up sounding amazing, but this is just a rough idea of some of our stuff so we can get out there and gigging and what not. Also, for criticism like this - perhaps not everyone's cup of tea, you can't please everyone as someone said previously but we can damn well try and please a few extra next time we record. Anyways, someone said something about the lyrics/vocals? Want to elaborate? I didn't write all the lyrics, but I have to say I'm really proud of the Baby All Gone reference so I'm hoping it wasn't that and it was maybe some lyrics one of the other guys wrote. And please no comparison with Debassed, cus that's lower than low, heh. Anyways, all the feedback is much appreciated - try and say why you don't like something as opposed to just saying you don't like it, or alternatively, if you like something then try to elaborate. On that note, is there any positive feedback? Even if it's just that you liked a tiny bit of a little section of a song?
  11. I'm assuming that's Steve Rogers and not Bucky. Anyone who this is more their "cup of tea" fancy giving some feedback?
  12. Winner! From 4:00 - 5:15 that stage is mine! Heh. How do we enter this wonderful raffle of yours?
  13. As a club, I hate Man U a helluva lot more than Chelsea. As a team, I hate Chelsea more than Man U. Reason? Alex Ferguson has brought up that team. He's stuck by Giggs and Scholes, players brought up through the ranks. Then there's players like O'Shea and Brown still featuring. He hasn't went out and bought world class players for every position. He's signed some fantastic youth in Ronaldo and Rooney, and then signed some players to fill the slots. The base of that team has grown up together though, and for that they deserve everything the get. Mon the Pool though.
  14. As far as surprises go, it was a nice change for WWE. Recent times have been dull at WWE. There's been no real major storyline or anything recently. They tried the millionaire vs millionaire thing at Wrestlemania, it was a snore fest even with Austin involved. They had the whole Vince as champ thing. Dull. They had Shawn Michaels and Cena, but anything involving Cena is gonna be bad. Bottom line, sitting watching the show I was thinking "Oh, someone's gonna be waiting in the limo to beat him up." or something along those old clich lines, but then the limo explodes. Tasteless or not, try and tell me the figures for next weeks Raw won't be HUGE. Love him or hate him, Vince is no less than a genius. Anyways, that's enough about WWE, lets all go watch some TNA
  15. First of all, Finnan is the most underrated player in the Liverpool squad. Rafa's admitted himself that before he came to Liverpool he didn't know anything about him and didn't rate him, but now he's an essential member of the back four. Anyone even attempting to say Liverpool's backline is weak is no less than a moron. Some cover, as Stephen said above, is all that's required. Rafa's acknowledged the need for change in order to challenge for the Premiership, but he won't go out and splash the cash on big names. How many people had heard of Xabi Alonso before he signed for Liverpool? Yet he has to be considered one of the best signings in the Premiership in recent times (although he was a bit lackluster last season). Big names doesn't garauntee anything - especially when it comes to the Premiership. Veron anyone? Some players just can't adapt to it. Morientes didn't, Veron didn't, Reyes, Shevchenko... All players with undoubted class, but didn't really seem to manage to make any dent on the Premiership. Pennant, at the start of the season, wasn't what I expected. However, he's now fitting in with the team, he's matured as a player over last season and he now knows what's expected of him. Just look at how he was playing towards the end of the season, and indeed the Champions League Final, and then judge him, because he's a much better player now compared to then. Crouch not good enough?! I'm sick of these doubters. Ruud Gullit said it all for me. He scored two goals in a game and then after the match whatever the guys name is asked Gullit what he thought Crouch needed to do to be a better striker. Gullit's answer came "Nothing." He's spot on too. Crouch started about half or less than half of Liverpool's games this season and still came out of it with more goals than anyone else. He's a top quality striker, he's unique and defenders hate playing against him. We definately need a new striker, and if we say Bellamy leaving Anfield then I wouldn't be too upset. He did well for a season, but he's not good enough. I'm optimistic. Who can blame me? I'm a Liverpool fan, I've spent the majority of my life looking for to the next season. We may not challenge again next season for the Premiership or we may end up winning it, but no matter what, with Gerrard, Carragher and Rafa at Anfield it's only a matter of time till we win no. 19.
  16. Liverpool have ditched Zenden, said our final goodbyes to God and I do believe Gonzalez has been told he can leave. So far we've got Voronin coming in. We NEED another CB for cover - Agger's still young and could fall suspect in inconsistancy the more pressure there is on him, and I don't think Hyypia has the ability to cut it week in, week out in the Premiership anymore. I reckon another striker wouldn't go a miss either. Maybe show Bellamy the door. There's endless links with Tevez, Villa, Eto'o and Torres I do believe. I'd be happy with any of them. Wouldn't mind seeing Obafemi Martin's in Red though. I also reckon we need another right winger so we can have Gerrard in the middle more often. I think Alves can play there, can't he? He's linked with us just now too. Ach, I don't mind. Whatever happens, Man U and Chelsea need to watch their heels cus we're gonna surprise a lot of people next season I think. In Rafa we trust. YNWA.

  19. Two AFI tickets for Thursday in Edinburgh up for grabs. 50 for both. Interested? PM me.
  20. I think me and a few other guys are coming along after our band practice to catch what little of the show we can. That half hour better be the best goddamned half hour of the night!
  21. That sucks guys. Keep us updated.
  22. You can check Debassed out on www.myspace.com/debassed although our recordings are pretty old now (year and a half actually - new members since then). Gonna be recording again early-ish next year though. Could be our last gig for a little while, so if you haven't seen us yet then come check us out. Pretty certain the other bands have MySpace too, although I can't get on to check their URL's at college. You probably could get them off the Debassed page actually.
  23. Looking for a gig to go along to tonight? Look no further. Catch some of ya there? I'll be the one being held up by the bar.
