  1. Pearl Jam? Weezer? Pixies? Mogwai? Blood Sugar Sex Magik?
  2. I play drums and I'm looking for a band to rock hard with, so if you find a band I could try out. I don't think emphasis should be taken off music and I'm generally a very boring dresser but hey it could be a laugh! I'll e-mail you.x
  3. I'd be up for jamming maybe. I can't write songs but I like to have my own input to original material all the same, it would be minor at most though. I can't also say I'm into the Manic Street Preachers, Joy Division etc but I'd be up for hearing more of their stuff and expanding my musical tastes. I just want to rock..... hard. Dallas x
  4. Hi there. My name is Iain Dallas and I need a band. I've had quite a lot of experience with my last band "Schmuk" and various other Banchory based side projects over the past 5 year. I have just started uni here in Aberdeen and really want to be in a band asap. My musical tastes range from Tool to Belle & Sebastian but I would like to be in a hard rocking Pearl Jam-esque outfit. I met a bloke at uni who is also looking for a band, he has a cracking voice. So if anyone out there is even remotely interested send me an e-mail to u02ijd6@abdn.ac.uk or give me a phone on 07894437651. I would be up for playing a couple of covers to start with to see if it will work but eventually going on to do original stuff. If you're weary of getting a crap drummer, all I can say is: trust me, I'm pretty good. So please get in touch. cheers,Dallas x
  5. They are just My Chemical Romance II (which is not a good thing), in my opinion. Of course i'm sure they are nice enough people and talented musicians and all that.
  6. Flaming Katy were awesome. Go and see them cause they play good music and the drummer is hot! Kinetic were simply awesome as well. My Latest Novel were.... well lets face it..... awesome! Enjoyed the night a lot. It was awesome! (sorry) Peace:up:
  7. Machine by Static x or Untouchables by Korn (I didn't even really listen to Korn in the first place!)
  8. Aye cheers. I've just got in touch with Fez Monkey, Arcade, RFR, Dead Anyway and GFN so here's hoping one of them can help us.
  9. We still want your opinions. There's been 102 views and only 6 replys. Thats 94 people who are either lazy or just think we are poo. Come on guys please! Even if you don't like it at least try some constructive criticism. We are nice people!
  10. Yeh, we havn't played any gigs in town in a long time. We gave our demo in to Drummonds, The Tunnels and Moshulu but didn't hear back from anyone. That was well over a month ago! It sucks. Maybe they never got to listen, heard it then never thought about it again or simply didn't like it? If anyone has any advice for getting gigs give us a shout because we are a capable band, we're just not really in with the whole Aberdeen music crowd. We havn't played a gig in town since December! This is not good enough! To all the venues out there, if you're listening (well reading) we like playing and we are a good live act so give us some gigs. Go on.... please! This message should have been over about 5 lines ago. Peace
  11. Yeh whole night was a great success. I enjoyed our set (Schmuk) a lot, great audience. I only heard Ruinous in sound check but - although not quite my "cup of tea" - sounded very good at what they did. How many gigs have you played anyway? The Exctract were a lot better than i had anticipated. I thought they were definitely the best band to start the show and get everyone in the mood. I didn't hear much of My Downfall as i was getting ready for our set, but there fan base says it all. Look forward to hearing everyone else's thought on the night. I think i can talk for everyone when i say thank you very much to Dave and the Foyer posse for organising such a great event abd I look forward to the next Foyerlive event. Cheers
  12. The whole thing sounds rad. I've been to two Foyer lives with Schmuk and both were outstanding. Only heard My Downfall from the bill but heard good things about the other guys. Peace out and I'll see you ladies and gents there.
  13. Good work to all the folk that played at Kilau. Some really inspiring acts i thought. Special mention to Stuart Youngston, Kerry and Steve, the dude with the pinnie and Genevieve; who despite having some technical hitches were still very good. Any feedback anyones got for the gig would be most welcome i'm sure. Peace
  14. I felt like some part of me was missing before i saw Sith. After i saw it i just felt so satisfied and happy; all my questions were answered! Just about everything- except Vader going "Noooooo!" - was just how i wanted it to be. It also didn't really make sense that Mace Windu battered Palpatine - with such ease - and in fact at all! Natalie Portman is a Godess!!
  15. There is this guy - thin he's called Richard Cheese - and he does like "lounge" versions of famous rock songs. These include a Limp Bizkit medly, Chop Suey and Creep. Pretty funny.
  16. 1.Tool - Lateralus 2.Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magik 3.Brand New - Deja Entendu 4.Biffy Clyro - Vertigo of Bliss 5.Aerosmith - Get A Grip 6.Foo Fighters - The Colour And The Shape 7.Weezer - Pinkerton 8.Iron Maiden - Number of the Beast 9.Blink 182 - Enema of the State 10.Metallica - ...And Justice For All man that was tricky...
  17. I didn't want to like them (thought they seemed more about their image than their music) but i must say: I can't help it. I think their singles - which is all i've heard of the band - are good tunes. I also think that although they could be seen as "same old, same old" there are some quite original aspects to their music and some good ideas. From what people tell me their newest album is better than their old one; so who knows? maybe their third album will be unstoppable.
  18. Faith No More - Edge of The World (think about it)
  19. The Libertines, The Kaiser Chiefs, Oasis, Razorlight....... Revision is getting to me as i seem unable to remember the long list of bands that piss me off. Peace
  20. I'm ashamed that i like wrestling and really it is shit. But i just love it! Eddie Guerrero is no.1, or Kane, or Undertaker, or HBK..... hell i love them all. (except Ric Flair, he should be dead)
  21. Either cracking my skull on a rock at a mates house or trapping a nerve in my hip after an unexpected "dump tackle". I also had really bad ear-ache one night. Funny that, i only remembered that now. It was a cold winters night when i was.........
  22. Stacy and Torrie are easily the best. I like them a lot.
