Good dreamcast games that won't bankrupt you: Crazy Taxi Virtua Tennis MSR (the first 'project gotham racing') Capcom vs Snk Typing of the Dead (never released in the uk) Dynamite Cop House of the Dead 2 (best with a lightgun) Zombie Revenge Powerstone 2 Jet Set Radio Soul Calibur Space Channel 5 None of the above should cost you much more than a tenner tops, with most being around 5. I would reccomend getting yourself a boot disc to play import games, as often you can get them pretty cheap of ebay. The dreamcast as a true classic machine and some of the best sega arcade conversions are available on it. Enjoy it!

SNES. No competition. The golden age of video games and still looks and plays like a dream today. Hosts some of the best games ever made including Marioworld, Street Fighter 2, Zelda, Mariokart, f zero, pilotwings, Area 88, Super Ghouls n Ghosts, and Super Castlevania. It basicly invented the modern controller with its button layout and shoulder buttons, and I still play mine on a regular basis. It's as near to a perfect console as I can imagine. *EDIT* Post above me wasn't here when I posted this one. Great minds and all that.....

I think it's a nice idea for a 'coffee table' book. You can find almost anything on the net, but I'd rather read a book or graphic novel than have to download a PDF and read it on my PC.

Hmmm. Was looking forward to this, but if you go into the preview on the site and turn to the mario page, the top proclaims the 'fact' that marioworld on the snes is the biggest seeling 32 bit game of all time. Except it was 16 bit. I hope this lack of proof reading is just on the preview and doesn't extend to the end product.

Nah nah laddie. It was the funniest most entertaining game I played all of last year. I agree it's not for everyone, but for me Warioware is worth 30 generic fps games any day of the week.

I finished medium no bother and have made inroads into expert. I seem to have lost some of my touch on it though. I could do the first one on all levels but think im a bit out of practise!

Don't know if anyone else would be interested in this, but how about a sub forum where an older album is discussed in depth for a pre determined amount of time. I have seen similar ideas on videogames forums, where we all replay an overlooked classic and discuss it within a month. A bit like a book group really. Maybe there could be a shortlist of albums every two weeks and we could have a poll to decide or something along that lines..... *EDIT* We could have different genres on rotation so everyone gets a chance to contribute, no matter what their musical preference.

Absolutely tragic news. I loved the lemon tree. Without a doubt my favorite venue in Aberdeen. So many good gigs there in the past: Rocket From the Crypt Therapy Backyard Babies Annie Christian Bullyrag Feeder Ash Terrorvision Paradise Lost Psycore + Will Haven + Tura Satana Finch Alabama 3 One Minute Silence Frank Black ...and many more that escape me at the moment. Admittedly there had been nothing lately, but surely some of that must come from the promoters rather than the venue. A real shame and a bad loss for Aberdeen.
