  1. A smoothy maker! Or A George foreman grill! Gifts of the gods!
  2. This post is almost as stimulating as when I attended sociology lectures at university. Hoorahhh!
  3. Now, I know that my opinion may seem slightly unseasonal, but does anyone else agree with me when I say that the new version of band aid is the biggest pile of tripe to be inflicted on us for a long time? I can appreciate that they want to help the starving masses, but surely each artist giving some money would be better than this hideous tune that sounds like a jigsaw puzzle of the worst apects of British music. That tosser from coldplay has been quoted of late saying that everyone should by multiple copies wherther they like it or not. BOLLOCKS. If you really want to help, then why not just give some money to the charity, without buying this poor excuse for a record and inflating 'the cream' of the British music industry's ego's. Rant over.
  4. Methinks also there may be a few sympathy dimebag votes.
  5. Time for me to put my tuppenceworth in. Exodus is ok. nothing more, nothing less. There is a serious lack of decent music in it, and far too much indie shmindie. Too much student 'i want to be in the strokes' types, and twats that think that they are Ian Brown. Getting asked for a yellow card all the time is uber annoying, and if you don't have one the drinks can be mighty pricey. On the good side, I have always found the staff to be friendly, and there are some quality peope to have a banter with, if you can hear them over the music. Moshulu is quite good, but it isn't a patch on when the mighty palace reigned supreme. The music is better now, but the palace had a scuzzy downmarket charm, that no number of half assed coats of paint could hide. Having said that the staff are cool and the drinks are not too badly priced. The wee room at the back is cool, and it's shaping up to be a top quality venue. Maybe i'm just getting old, but you can't beat a quiet pint in the bassement. And whoever said the grub was good is spot on!
  6. Truant are always good, but I felt that they were more aloof on their second gig this year. Therapy? were also amazing. Cairns was on top form.
  7. The music is good. Good in a different way from vice city but still good. You cannot beat performing a drive by to Rod Stewart's Young Turks!!!!
  8. Day after electric 6?!? Are they playing? If so where? I MUST KNOW!!!!
  9. I would say a couple is ok, but speaking personally I like to hear them near the end of the set. One other thing I would say is make sure you are good at them, because people generally do not tolerate their fave songs being mauled. Good luck with whatever you decide to do, and let me know when you are playing!
  10. Mike Patton(faith no more) - Vocals Billy Corgan (smashing pumpkins)- Lead guitar Pete Steele(type o negative) - Bass and backing vocals Martin Gore(depeche mode) - Keyboards Tom Morello (rage against the machine) - Backing guitar and wierd noises Jimmy Chamberlin (smashing pumpkins) - Drums
  11. I have not read the entire thread, as frankly I can't be arsed, but just to clear something up about what is metal and what isn't. Someone metioned earlier that Korn once admitted that they are not metal. Well Metallica once said the same in an interview when posed with the question 'how does it feel to be the biggest metal band in the world?' They replied that they saw themselves as a stadium rock band, no different to the likes of R.E.M. Just cause an artist has been quoted saying something, it does not mean that it's true. And for the record, the chap a couple of posts up is right: Nu metal never existed. According to magazine Slipknot, limp bizkit, static X, amd orgy are all nu metal. How can this be?
  12. Maybe it's a big conspiricy by sony so that everyone buys their new slimline ps2. The only problem with that s that they are as rare as a chav wearing a morttiss t-shirt!
  13. My one has a 12 hour battery life. It really is the best mp3 player on the market.
  14. All bets are now closed as to where Ash will be entering from on Friday. The odds are as folows: Back right fire exit - Odds on fave Male toilet - 2-1 Behind the bar - 4-1 Female toilets - 6-1 outsider
  15. Christian messages in bands is ok as long as it does not overshadow everything else. The same can be said when a band uses too much sex/satanism etc. As for punk, why not christian punk?? Punk is meant to be about being an induvidual and doing things your own way, not by sticking to some outdated idea that all punks must create chaos and be 'into' anarchy.
  16. Gta san andreas is a duel layer disc. The playstaion 2 was not designed with a game disc like this in mind, so a lot of older machines cannot handle it. On a more positive note san andreas is amazing, and as far as I am concerned, as a jaded gamer of 16+ years, it far exceeded all my expectations. Gaming does not get much better than this.
  17. I don't really rhink it matters about the timing. Erasure are not the kind of band that is going to pick up casual fans because of news like this.
  18. If you have got the money go for the 40g ipod. It shreiks quality, and at the end of the day it is a superior product, hence the price tag.
  19. Thats sad news indeed. Wonder if it will affect the upcomming tour?
  20. Destiny's Child - What you doing listning to that shite?? Dissapointage.
