  1. It's fun to go to Epping Forest and listen to the Battle of Epping Forest by Genesis. You have to go to the end of the red line and then go for a walk though (I hear it's actually closer from Theydon Bois than from Epping station, but it's a pleasant and tranquil enough walk).
  2. From 'classical' music (can't be arsed figuring out who was when, reminds me of music theory tests anyway ) Martinu and Dvorak are ace (I like Fucik because he's Czech too, he wrote Entrance of the Gladiators and his name looks like a rude word, but that's about it), Rachmaninov and Grieg... Prokofiev I like but I only know the hits. Just in case anyone has been inspired to delve backwards into musical history and wanted suggestions... All in all I'm pretty narrow minded about music, because I think I know what I like, and as a result I discover bands by accident long after people recommend them. If someone gives me a song or album and tells me I'll love it I'm kind of intent on proving them wrong so I'll listen half heartedly and then say it was okay. But I copy them and might chance upon them later... like how I just 'discovered' Opeth last week after having some CDs lying about for ages.
  3. Omg it's Eith Kemerson. I mean Meith Ekerson! Ahhh it's the guy from the Nice!

  6. Bodast

    Fags

Mostly Lucky Strike lights or Marlboro lights, or blue Drum or Red Bull for rolling. But I've become pretty feeble and can't handle smoking much unless I'm drinking, and never in the morning. X-(
  7. That's when I have freshers week too Claude, so I can enjoy Aberdeen's (and Edinburgh's?) as well as my own Think I might check dis gig out too...
  8. I'm quietly outraged that the verb that they gave to Robert Wyatt is something so common, that just anyone can do. But if he thinks it's funny I suppose it must be okay. I love Robert Wyatt. Seeing his own words there in the quotation marks just gave my heart a blast of warmth which it wasn't expecting. I'm gon' go read some Soft Machine interviews. x 100
  9. I think they always finish with Honey these days. ?( Not sure why.
  10. I think it got worse for 4, I still love it but some of the stuff just wasn't as funny as series 2 or so. And sometimes they carry on jokes for too long and ruin them (and I don't mean the times when they carry on a joke for five minutes so you forget what the episode was about, because that's amazing ). I'll still be watching the new series when someone in my house buys it, of course.
  11. On the new guys: that was the second time I'd seen them, they sound amazing, the band has a different sound now which is partly because of the style of the new songs and partly because of the new guys, either way I think it's a bit more edgy and hopefully more commercial... And they also give the band a younger and hotter image which is probably good for them I had a great time I can't get used to Favourite Girl not being at the end.. but the start with Connected and then Going on Again is ace. Annnd... yeah, I thought it was a bit short but I always do. I enjoyed all the supports too although nobody seemed to care much about Phone freak.
  12. UPS man came and picked up my iPod yesterday. Apple'd better get it fixed before I leave for uni. And what a cheek that I have to pay for shipping stuff when it's still under warranty, it's their own fault that they're shit. I have a black Nano which does look pretty cool but I had to buy a cover which is green, looks okay. Even though it's rubbish I have sort of come to like it. How long have you had your iPod? Mine didn't make a sad face, it had a picture and a URL but I don't think it was a sad 'pod. Anyway, it displayed that picture a few times and then wouldn't switch on at all so I'm guessing it's the battery (even though it was only about six months old when this happened). Might be the same thing?
  13. Sorry to fill this thread with all these posts of mine but it was good fun when the street team was all fresh faced and enthusiastic*, wasn't it? Sticking up stickers everywhere and... other street teamer stuff. *I don't mean we have all got grimy and lack lustre, it has just sort of... faded out.
  14. I'll be there too, but not drunk (antibiotixxx) and without my fellow Grim girlz (they went on holiday?!). The new (well, not that new any more but newer at least) songs are amazing and the new members sound amazing too. G-G-GNS! Yay!
