  1. There was lots of behind the scenes negotiations between the British government and the Provisional IRA since the 1980's, but it only really got going when John Major was Prime Minister. From the militant Republican side, a combination of the political gains from the death of Bobby Sands and the British deployment of the SAS in Ireland - who were operating a shoot to kill policy - pushed towards a political rather than armed solution. The Good Friday Agreement has been in place since 1999 and was the culmination of peace talks. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_Friday_Agreement Crucially, it is dependant on both Britain and Ireland remaining in the EU, so that an open border between the north and south can remain.
  2. There has been a cease fire since 1997. I'd hazard a guess that membership is in single figures. The days of The Troubles are well in the past now.
  3. The Provisional IRA still exists, but has long since given up its weapons and armed struggle, now it is commited to the peace process. Although, Brexit will probably massively fuck everything up.

  11. Which websites do people use to search for content on Netlfix? I am aware that Netflix's algorithm for recommending shows and movies isn't the greatest.
  12. Ryan Adams has a new album out. It is called Prisoner and so far, I do not think it is good.
  13. What struck me most about this is that it's entirely pointless. it doesn't achieve anything,

  18. Fingers crossed his loan at a smaller club will give him a bit of experience and a chance in the first team.
  19. Guy Garvey's voice is the equivalent of PVA glue.
  20. It is a grower. I've not been air punching as much, probably the same about of "WOOAAH OOAAHS" however... It's not Celebration Rock, but neither it should.
