  1. Those songs sound really cool! I normaly dont like too much singing in metal stuff, but it sounds good and makes the songs pretty catchy!
  2. I didnt think there were many Mistress fans in Aberdeen either, I new Filthpact Dave was into them but thats all! I got into them about a couple years ago....I think.... I listen to Eyehategod a bit of iron Monkey and stuff like that...so, when Dave Officer was playing them in one up I had to buy thier -then- new album Chronovisor! I got the newest one when it came out but its not quite as good as chronoviser IMO. are any of you going to the gig?
  3. mmmm Peanut butter( ) Peanut Butter and Banana toasties are pretty cool aswell!
  4. Mistress are playing on 18th July in Barfly also! They are fucking heavy!
  5. 'twas good fun...apart from a few technical probs, and yet again our set was cut short. you missed spider-man moshing! didn't see the first band, but the other two were cool, i enjoyed samurai fury's set, and Robert, I owe you a pint! thanks for helpin out!
  6. It'll be METAL THRASHING MAD so come along everyone and bang your fuckin head! Uncut diamond? I think we played with them last time - the mellow band....
  7. This sounds cool! unfortunatley, my main instrument is guitar(my drumming is too shit for death metal just now!) and im in a band, which is taking up enough time as is but good luck finding members! it'd be cool to have more proper death metal bands in The Area!
  8. I dont think he will, If there are any bands that want to play et us know or talk to paul from KEF.
  9. We need another band to complete the line up for a gig, this friday at KEF. So far there is Samurai Fury and Weeping Jesus. So we're looking for a kinda rocky band, thats basically just up for having a good time. I'll PM a contact number if your interested, or just contact paul from kef!
  10. RnB can Fit pickups, but the turnaround time is very slow....2-3 weeks maybe. Price is 25 an hour for labour ex vat so about 30 an hour....
  11. Favourite drink is Wild Turkey(bourbon). I usually start a night out with a few lagers (pref.Heiniken/kronenberg or something nice), then see what happens from there; either JD/coke, various cocktails, whiskey, tequila or jager. If im just chillin' then I stick to beers and whiskey.
  12. It's really just a case of trying a heap of different wahs and finding out what works best for you.... I use a Morley, its good for me cause its switchless, and it sounds good for heavy stuff. I have found that the best sounding wah for general use on guitar is probably the Vox. Regular wahs sound good on bass too, although I dont know which one would be the best. Why dont you go into R&B and try a few through a bass?
  13. A rock night would be cool. maybe staying away from some of the glam stuff they play in Air-guitar in moshulu and playing more heavy stuff as well as all the classic stuff.
  14. I probably like Gibson Humbuckers most. Also seymour duncans are awesome. Dimarzios sound weird to me. EMGs are cool for what they do, but I prefer passive.
  15. Weeping Jesus Statue of Misery + Another new band which I've forgotten the name of... Friday 27th May @Kef Doors 7 Tickets 4.50 (from band Members) Come along, if you like your music extremely heavy!
  16. I downloaded Against the flame...It's not exactly my kind of music, but the melodies and riffs are quite catchy (awesome solo too!) I Think that with some more practice (on things mentioned; drums, vocals etc.) and a better recording you have potential to be a good band. EDIT: I know that I saw you live at one of our gigs at the moorings, but I was too drunk to remember how it sounded...
  17. At the moment: Scott Hull (PIG DESTROYER) DIME Phil Anselmo(He's shit technically, but has his own style!) Jimmy Bower(EYEHATEGOD)
  18. Panic Cell Weeping Jesus +Support Sat 30th April At Kef, Doors@7 Tickets 4.50 (Available from WJ members)
  19. Greatest metal band EVER has to be Sabbath....They originated the evilness, and the dark horror aspect. Heavier? Slayer! Pantera! The heavy bands I love right now, Cannibal Corpse, Pig Destroyer.....
  20. So If you listen to heavy music whats with the rolley eyes shit. Oh wait, you like Heavy music with pop vocals
  21. I dont mind constructive criticism but He was unjustly slagging off our band.
  22. Hey, First off, thanks to everyone who came to the gig and had a good time! We had a good time playing, and that is what our band is about. To clear up a few things...Yes our set was cut short, but I feel we DID make the most of it, we fucked up a few times, but all bands fuck up now and again. I certainly have no excuses to make. The reason Murrays comments are not appreciated is because he obviosly doesn't listen to HEAVY music. He obviously doesn't understand what our band are trying to acheive, therefore I dont value his opinion, it is not relevent and he should shut the fuck up. we are not looking to be a nice band where you can hear the vocalists lyrics or any of that shit. We have a loose jammed out punky kinda sound, its not super tight and it wouldnt be as fun to play if it was. Also Murray I dont believe you know me at all, so dont talk shit, most of our band dont stay with their parents, and are not teenagers.
  23. i wouldnt worry about it unless its really really loud humming........and take your guitar to bruce millers at your own risk.
  24. originality Its pretty hard to be original, when it seems like its all been done before...Its hard to discard all of your influences. In saying that everyone will play the same thing in a slightly different way. Originality is probably not something you can learn...
