I disagree with "bland", but I'll take "safe" and "inoffensive" if it melts my heart in the manner that Take Care does. I think their sound, if far from wholly original, is distinctive enough in its nuances.

I had a listen. Not strictly to my tastes, I find it a little bit cloying, although it's catchy enough. I think both the vocals are fine, only an audiophile would quibble with them.

My favourite short story collection is by far Slawomir Mrozek's 'The Elephant'. Just so damned hilarious and funny, simultaneously biting and naieve in tone. Best day of my summer was sitting in the garden reading the whole thing.
