  1. Anyone else discovered this on iTunes? Flaming Lips have covered the entire Dark Side of the Moon with a little help from Henry Rollins
  2. One last bump before Xmas is upon us...
  3. Only three pedals left to sell. Boss OD-3 overdrive pedal. Boxed 40 ono Boss CS-3 Compression/Sustainer Boxed 40 ono Boss LS-2 Line Selector Boxed 40 ono
  4. One last throw of the dice before we all pack away our toys and go home... halfway decent drummer and rhythm/lead guitarist wanted. See myspace (The Method on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads) for a rough sample of what we sound like. Failing that ...guitarist available:laughing:
  5. Gig FX Chopper now also gone. That leaves... Boss CS-3 Boss LS-2 Boss OD-3 Any sensible offers?
  6. Bump - still got the OD-3, CS-3, LS-2, NS-2, Chopper for sale
  7. That was useful... Cheers:up: Anyway, drummer and second guitarist still required. We had about half a dozen original tunes and some covers under our belt before losing two members. We're looking for people that can commit to one night a week (probably mondays) for 2-3 hours and maybe a gig or two a month once everyone is on board. The stuff on the myspace page was recorded on one of those portable Boss Micor-br machines using just the condenser mic and sticking it in the middle of the room - it's not meant to be our idea of a professional recording and is only up there to give people a chance to get a feel of our overall sound and influences.
  8. HOG and accessories now sold. In addition to the stuff already listed I also have the following pedal lying around which I might consider parting with if someone makes a good offer.... Boss CS-3 Compression/Sustainer Boss LS-2 Line selector Boss NS-2 Noise Supressor All pretty much mint in box with instructions etc.
  9. I'll be sticking the remaining pedals on ebay today but feel free to get in touch if anyone is still interested and I'll cancel the auction.
  10. Frequency Analyzer sold! Any takers for the rest?
  11. Some more... Electro Harmonix Mini Q-Tron. Unboxed and in good condition apart from missing a battery hatch 35 o.n.o Gig FX Chopper pedal - unboxed, for some reason the rubber grip at the top is coming unstuck but apart from that its in A1 condition. 90 o.n.o Boss OD-3 Overdrive pedal. Boxed and in excellent condition.50 o.n.o
  12. Yeah, that's the one. Although the one I have looks a little rougher than that one.
  13. Electro Harmonix Hog pedal/foot controller & expression pedal. Boxed and in as new condition (think there might be some velcro on the bottom from being on my pedal board though!) see here for more info EHX.com | HOG - Harmonic Octave Generator/Synthesizer | Electro-Harmonix 300 for the lot. Also for sale is a Electro Harmonix Frequency Analyzer - basically a ring modulator. I bought it second hand and could never really get to grips with the bugger. It's in used condition and picked up some scuffs and scrapes from its previous owner but its in full working condition - think I might have a power supply knocking around for it too which I'll chuck in to sweeten the deal. 40 Selling both to help reduce my credit card bill! I can email pictures of either pedal if you pm me with your email address. Thanks for looking.
  14. A few more that spring to mind ...going "unplugged" ...working with an orchestra ...cool old alternative bands reforming for a money spinning tour and greatest hits package ...Festivals ...having a drug problem/going to rehab - leading to those "my coke hell" stories in the tabloids ...wars of words with other bands ...rock/alternative bands trying to work with rap/dance producers to broaden their "crossover" appeal ...starting your own clothing brand (didn't the Beasties pioneer that one too?) ...smashing your instruments - double cliche if you do it on a tv show
  15. Staying relatively on topic, mention of the whole Beastie Boys/Fisheye lens thing led to some quick googling: Modern Rock Video Clichs | Shoutmouth Clichs - Videoville give you a pretty comprehensive list of music video cliches
  16. Sounds promising. Will drop you a pm. I take it you've had a squizz at our myspace page? You can find a selection of stuff we've been playing if you fancy having a crack at penning some words.
  17. A vocalist who can write lyrics would be perfect but not a deal breaker if you can sing - hope that makes sense. We have a few lyrics knocking about but none of us has really had much to do with the lyric side of things in the past. The tunes on myspace are demos done by soundefex at home a while they give a flavour of the arrangements they don't really reflect the live sound of the band. Hope that helps
  18. Ba-ba-bump! Any takers out there. New material is piling up but we really need a singer/lyricsist to get out there gigging!
  19. [quote The only one I really hate is this Grimshaw character than Radio 1 are relentlessly trying to shove down our throats. He is an absolute cock, I hate him already. He even looks like a bell end. Apparently he's one of these painfully cool indie kids that dresses like a dick and hangs out in Camden going to gigs every night. He's pretty much unlistenable. Anyone, if anyone listens to Radio 1, what do you think of the new line up?
  20. The resemblance was uncanny now that you mention it.
