As far as jazz drummers go, Art Blakey, Papa Jo Jones, Louis Hayes and Buddy Rich are my personal favourites. 70s session legend Steve Gadd is great as well, the way Mitch Mithcell combined jazz and rock with the Jimi Hendrix Experience is amazing.
