  1. Yeah. The central library has them also.
  2. Cider and blackcurrant, JD and coke or, more recently, Southern Comfort and lemonade. Although to be honest I only drink the latter instead of Jack as my boyfriend doesn't like the smell of me when I've been drinking, "the spawn of Margaret Thatcher and Satan." :O I also appear to be allergic to anything with rum in it, so no bacardi for me.
  3. Maybe they took heed of the "Stolen mobile phones don't work any more" campaign. Anyway, that sucks, sorry to hear about that. So pathetic when they have to make gangs of three to mug one guy. Have you reported it to the police?
  4. I got this: And, horrifyingly, this:
  5. Come out and complain! It sucks that you have to miss a bit of the movie to come out and draw the staff's attention to such things but it will solve the problem. I'm floor staff at a cinema and I would relish the chance to chuck some of our more, erm, unsavoury customers out. If noone complains then they are just going to do it again the next time and ruin it for someone else. Also, I curse 12A ratings. It seems to make even the most intelligent parent think that it'll be OK to take their three year old in to see Monster-In-Law and not have to pay for a babysitter. Sure, you can take your younger kid in if they think they'd enjoy it and not be too scared, but a 12A rating does not mean that a child will gain *anything* from it whatsoever. They are not films for kids. Not that I think a young kid will ever enjoy the cinema. I'm always puzzled why some mother is shocked and annoyed when she has to spend an hour sitting outside a screen because her two year old isn't enjoying sitting in the same place for an hour and a half in silence.
  6. Never mind everybody, I'm going to use them after all.
  7. He guessed that I was thinking of a footstool.
  8. I thought my boyfriend was the only one that enjoyed Falco.
  9. Just wondering if anyone would be interested in buying my two Megabus tickets to Glasgow. Departing on the 1st June at 8.35 am. No return. Currently selling at £8 for the two, but I'm looking for £5. Anyone?
  10. The use of "prolly" instead of "probably" has always annoyed me for some reason and I don't know why...
  11. Yup, the Jacket was good. But I will not be going to the staff show this week. Ick. Eee, look! 4 UGC team members posting in a row.
  12. Well, I found myself watching Newsround today and apparently the rule is that if there are 5 or more people together with hoodies or caps on they will be asked to remove them. Just to complicate matters further.
  13. I loved Hillhead, personally.... pretty cheap and a great atmosphere. But then I was in the older self-catering flats.
  14. I'll be voting LibDem. They are the party with whom I identify the most and I think they have a great leader in Charles Kennedy. I got some Tory literature through the door and, surprisingly, agreed with a lot of it. I'm indifferent about Labour, completely disagree with everything the SSP says, and would like the SNP if only it weren't for the whole, "we need to be independent" issue...
  15. For me it's probably when I was running down a hill and put my foot in a hole and made my leg go the wrong way at the knee, or when I pulled a muscle in my back.
  16. Yeah, I've nothing against Liquid for the occasional night out, just for the monopolising of the uni. As much as you try and dislike it, they do everything right when it comes to a fun cheap night out.
  17. What do they do? I'm not trying to be offensive or start an argument, but how can they have 1.50 nights yet take the threat of binge drinking seriously?
  18. Apparently the promoter/owner of Liquid nightclub is going to be the sole nominee for Rector. A student stopped me today and tried to get me to sign the nomination form. Is it just me that thinks the uni will be a laughing stock if he manages it? The uni already fellates Liquid enough as it is, what with the Freshers Week affiliation and over promotion. Have I got this wrong? Does anyone else have any information? Just imagine it, everyone else with newsreaders and sporting legends and Aberdeen with... some dude from a shitty nightclub that promotes binge drinking. Sigh.
  19. I'd say an iPod was the poor mans Zen but this discussion has been had before...
  20. I fear you'll get flamed for that one... kinda old.
  21. No, I don't think so. bbc.co.uk has the list.
