  10. Partridge Moments Im sure youll agree Mr Doug, Partridge + Singing = priceless "Why do BIRDS suddenly appear...every time...(its too high) ...you are near... you are near" or in same eposide when he sacks Jill on live radio then sings along to song. "It started with a kiss, never thought it would come to this" ACE
  11. sunday Damn good night for gigs! Its always the same in Aberdeen, everything always happens at once! Im too skint to attend most of Tryptich next week but will try and manage somehow!
  12. indie/ rock after idlewild.... after the idlewild/sons and daughters gig come to Drummonds before Exodus! Id guess Idlewild would be finished at bout 10.45 ish/ 11pm. We (the little kicks) are playing at Drummonds from the back of 11pm till late. Its only 2 quid entry and will be all over by 1am which means we can all still have time to go along to Exodus and be merry after! Come down and have a wee pre-Exodus beer or three! Is Exodus definitely open till 3am because its a Public Holiday weekend?
  13. I know what you mean.I go through phases with that Bloc Party album. Saw them at Lemon Tree and didnt think that much to be honest, then started to like them on record. Got a copy of the album and hardly listened to it.I get a day where I think its quality and then the next I have to turn it off after a wee while or find the need to flick through it. I think its just his voice sounds like a yelp sometimes but then the rest of the musicianship is pretty strong esp drumming and guitar playing! Thats one thing the editors had similar to bloc party.Pretty good dynamics as a band.Lead Guitarist was pretty good with his use of effects.I liked the fact he didnt overplay, he would drop in for like an intro then out for a verse and then dissapear for a bit then come back in for chorus.Drummer was tight as fuck aswell.
  14. editors... I thought they were pretty damn good.Sounded quite like what I expected but better I think. They did sound a bit like Interpol but you could tell there was a fair bit more influences than just that.Just wish Id had mula to buy a t-shirt! T'was good gig for us to get as it let quite a few people see us who havent before.Had good feedback so far.We wpuld have been in attendance had even if not playing so it worked out good for us that way too. Big cheers to anyone who listened to us and also Lava Paul for giving us the slot.
  15. best aberdonian band Glad some people seem to like our stuff. Next gig is Sunday May 1st at Drummonds. Although its same night as IdleWild/ Sons and Daughters gig at Music Hall but people should come down after cause itll be a late kick off due to bank holiday! Not sure whos supporting yet but will post soon as! In my humble opinion, local bands/solo acts Ive enjoyed of late are: Dedalus AKA the FOX Rescue Party The Kitchen Cynics The Downroads My Beuatiful Ex-Girlfriend Eric Euan Paul Tasker Amber Karl Alexander Delawaire Probably heaps more and a lot of stuff I havent managed to check out yet!

  23. Think Thee Unstrung are part of that whole London scene which has spawned recent Libertinesesque NME approved bands like Others, Paddingtons etc. Should be an interesting night. PM me for advance tickets.
