  1. Hmmm.. Thankls for the Faggot part of your message Sean, if only they knew the truth about you good self...etheth. Cool avatar by the way, I fucking love Joe Scully! How can a man like that father, felicity and steph? The guy deserves a medal!
  2. Needles I thought the Needles were fucking ace last night. They put on a good show, are really tight and Dave is a damn good frontman. Its just a shame that there wasnt more people there.I told as many folk as I could but I struggled to get a crowd for my set because Ive been pushing so hard for last weeks Lemon Tree gig. You can tell the Needles really believe in what theyre doing, I mean , despite the place not being rammed Dave was still flying round which is pretty professional. Seen a lot of bands who would get disheartened and not give it their all, something I dont think anyone can accuse the Needles of.
  3. Lemon Tree Aye it is indeed, will you be in attendance this evening? You expecting a busy one? Think I have quite a few folk coming down.
  4. Hey Im playing a short accoustic set tonight supporting the Needles as part of a songwriters night at the Lemon Tree. Im in the finishing stages of doing a solo E.P at the moment, so looking forward to trying some of the tracks out at gig level. Should be a really good night I think and I hope some of you can make it. Steven Full details below. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lemon Tree Songwriter's Project: The Needles+Junk Dust+Steven Milne Thursday 24th February The Lemon Tree Tickets 5 (3.25 concessions & regulars) Doors Open: 8:30pm Show Starts: 9:15pm Aberdeen band The Needles (pictured) have built up a strong following of 'obsessive' fans as a result of 5 sold-out EPs, radio airplay around the globe and their acrobatic, blood-splattered live shows, which have on more than one occasion been known to hospitalise members of the band. They've also done hundreds of gigs, including T-in-the-park, In the City and DeathDisco, written thousands of songs, toured the UK several times, recorded sessions for Radio 1, Radio Scotland, Beat 106 and SBN, amongst others, and generally got very, very good at what they do in the process. Craig Davidson is an energetic and charismatic songwriter, who at the age of 17 has a bright future. Tonight he performs with his powerful 3-piece band Junk Dust. Hold on tight! Steven Milne from Little Kicks will open the night with an acoustic of his own material. The Lemon Tree kindly acknowledges the financial support of The Performing Rights Society Foundation -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- the little kicks live - Johnny Cash Tribute night - Saturday 26th Feb - 9pm www.thelittlekicks.co.uk

  6. GNS MARCH 5th Cool photos on your site andy. We arent supporting them that nite in Aberdeen anymore Im afraid. Were playin too much this month and unfortunately that gig had to go. They got a really good write up in the latest FLY by the way.
  7. Friday God, I think every band had something go wrong somewhere! A second before we started, the jack on my guitar came apart in my hand and rolled out all over the floor!Which was great when your a bit nervous and have less than 30 seconds to kick off! Then halfway through, my amp started to make wierd noises, think it needs anew valve.Oh well, these things happen. It puts you off having problems like that but managed to get through somehow. Yeah it'll be Almost Parallel.Cool tune.Yogi played it last nite in Kef.
  8. Friday Cheers to anyone from the boards who came down on Friday. Had a great nite.Really enjoyed pllaying our set and I think it came across well.People seemed to be dancing, moving etc so was a good crowd. All the other bands were damn good and made for a really good show. Still cant quite believe how many folk were there, im told 430 inc guest list, It made for a really good atmosphere. Headseen were really good and I hope they dont stick to their plan of making that their last gig. Thought Dedalus were damn good too and their second or third song ("Seconds"? track I think its called) has been nagging my brain for 2 days now. AKA the Fox also put on a really good show and were good to see play as always. Had a lot of good feedback from the nite and how good it was having a good variation of bands on, I think people definitely got value for their money. Hope everyone in attendance had a good nite Photos will be going up on our website this week. Steven www.thelittlekicks.co.uk
  9. Edinburgh OI Mulhearn, Ill set Bobb on you! It was a wierd one. We started badly but ended really well. The sound onstage was pretty bad and I was having heaps of trouble with my guitar sound.(Tried new pedal, probably my own fault) The monitors sounded great in soundcheck then dissapeared at the gig.Kind of puts you off a bit! We'd also consumed a crate of Stella shortly before playing!(ahem, woops) .We could have and will play much better, was just one of those nights! However, it still seemed to go down well and had a great nite after nevertheless. It was (in a way) a good practice for this Friday. The Beat Trap said the same about the sound when I spoke to them. That it sounded alright from the front but onstage you couldnt really do anything about it or tell what it was like! The Beat Trap were pretty good and seemed like a good bunch of guys. Will be in attendance when they grace Aberdeen. Thing is, Teviot is a great venue with normally good sound levels. The club nite after was ace, it was just a bad nite for us I think. It tends to happen on average about 1in7 gigs. However, its pretty much forgotten about as we then drank another two crates of beer afterwards and the gig is now only a distant memory...

  13. Ha Ha Ha Ha...R u still coming on Friday or are you washing your hair? If Im not mistaken I think and hope we receive beer, although a pie would be nice! Remember, say aye to a pie! I can only assume you are referring to said evening when we had our brush with fame on way from 24hr pie shop! Oh the thrill! Bet she had more pies than me that nite. Have you foned Joyce yet to see if shes coming? Want me to invite your friend from Sizzlers? Shes probably got a ticket already, she looked like the sort of fan we seem to normally attract. Classy!
  14. Lemon Tree Take it your just going to buy a ticket then judging by your non-reply! Thank the lord, dont really fancy any of your usual propositions! Played Edinburgh last nite as warm up for Lemon Tree. Went pretty well but the sound was wierd coz we werent using our own equipment. Looking forward to Friday now. We've got Pivo booked for after gig party till 3am so it could be a messy one!
  15. Lemon Tree Yeah, I m looking forwrd to it.Havent played in ages and after seeing The Delgados on Friday sounding so good, really cant wait to play!

  17. Hey, Meant to say in advance of Friday nite. As with at our last gig we will be selling a C.D on Friday. The C.D is priced at 3 and is limited to 100 copies, about 40 of which have been sold. The tracklisting is the same as the May EP(6 tracks): After Tomorrow,Before Today Questions and Answers By My Side Summertime She Kissed the Gun Panic Attack HOWEVER, it has been slightly remixed and comes with added vocal harmonies on all tracks. Although it comes in a plain white slipcase, the artwork for the cover will be made available through our website soon. Just thought it may be of interest to anyone who doesnt already own the E.P and to anyone who may want to hear the new copy! The C.D will be going into the shops soon but at a slightly higher price than at a gig. We also have new badges which will be available on Friday. For any queries or a C.D/Badge if you cant make gig Contact us: theband@thelittlekicks.co.uk or alternatively PM me -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- the little kicks live Friday January 7th Cafe Drummonds - Supporting Tom Hingley 10pm Friday 18th February Lemon Tree - Support from AKA the Fox, Dedalus and Headscene 8.30pm www.thelittlekicks.co.uk
