  3. Having heard a few clips off of Empires And Dance, it's top of my CD NEED list.
  4. Manic Street Preachers - Love's Sweet Exile
  5. Well I only have Life Is Killing Me and October Rust, but I'll go for October Rust. Love You To Death is epic greatness.
  6. I'm unsure about this one. Theoretically, I'm an SNP voter. However, I've been a bit put off by them ever since John Swinney was on a Question Time special and basically said that if we got independence from England, we would straight away sign up for everything the EU has for us. I don't see the point in seperating from one group of countries just to completely align yourself with an even bigger group of countries. However, I've always thought Alex Salmond is one of the few politicians who doesn't have any of the usual smarminess about him, so I'm more inclined to vote SNP again. Although I'm still not convinced about what will happen if we DO get independence. Besides, there's no fucking way I'm voting for Labour or the tories. Might go for Lib Dems since it's the general election and not the Scottish elections though.
  7. Third that. And he could make God Hates A Coward the catholic theme tune and slag everyone off. I suspect he's not a very religious man though....
  8. Wrestlemania X was my favourite Wrestlemania ever. The Owen v Bret match was fantastic, and then going on to win the title from Yoko despite the fucked leg... superb. And it was always a laugh seeing Lex Lugar lose to Yoko. HBK's splash off the ladder was fantastic.
  9. Yes! It was very much skate punk they were playing, which is why I detested it so much. If I ever see them again I'll be fair and pass unbiased judgement on them. My banter theory: Not essential, but extremely beneficial if you get it right. If you can get a few laughs out of the audience, they'll warm to you more. And it can make a gig memorable. Jester's right about playing to the whole audience and not just a few mates - that's when it sounds like pub-band stuff. On a bigger scale, banter from a band can make a gig more memorable and seem more personal. It also makes sure that the gig isn't just a case of "go on, play songs, fuck off". The Morrissey and Manics gigs I've been to in the past year are far more memorable than, say, Interpol, who didn't interact with the audience much at all.
  10. 1990-November 1994 was also a bit Then they went and gave the title to Diesel and for a year title matches consisted of nothing but leg locks and elbows to the back. Booooo!!!!!
  11. Very nice riffs on the first one. Not quite so sure about the second one. It seems to turn a bit comedy or something. I don't really like the solo on it, although I like the solo on the first one. The singing is quite good in some places I reckon. I prefer the non-growling bits. Certainly a lot of potential there. And incidently, when I say "first one" I mean the first one posted, not the one called track_1.
  12. I've got The Correct Use Of Soap, and its pretty ace. Howard's voice is a bit dodgy at times though, but I really like John McGeogh's (sp?) guitar playing.
  13. I always pick up on crap jokes. As Oor Wullie would say "there's nae flies on me"...
